Imo, anything "oregon" isn't going to happen. CMR wants a pro stlye offense. Roper???? Man I don't know, guess I can't help but think how inept UF's offense was under him and it isn't like Duke lined up and kicked your butt either. He did run up tempo though.

Will be interesting to see. Where is Dirk Koetter going from the Falcons? Would love to get him but McG's wallet is too small.

wlayton, I admit I do not know much about Roper but the fact you said he runs up tempo appeals to me. Seems we had luck when ever we tried it.

If Koetter were the guy, I sure hope he runs it more than he did in Atlanta.

Offensive lines wins games. Even pedestrian QBs and skill guys can be all world if the WB has time. Dilfer won a super bowl. Brad Johnson won a Superbowl. They had good defenses and good offensive lines.

The New England Patriot blue print for success is built around the O line. They mint pro bowl receivers by giving Brady time. A great O line beats most anything.

Emulate the Oregon pace but with our talent and you win..................despite Richts incompetence.

Early Tuesday morning, after reading some of the posts, kentdaddy gave two excellent examples of quarterbacks that had offensive lines. Dilfer is a big shot now, but when he was in Tampa, nothing to write home about. Same for Johnson, he was surrounded by talent and an offensive coach that was just that, a offensive coach. Knew zero about defense.

Was going to go into the history of quarterback at Georgia since the head coach arrived, anyone wants a quick lesson, read what sadlerdawg has to say in post #24 in the And so begins the off-season spin.

There is a lot more to be said, but I believe that someone making over 3 million dollars a year and is going to get "another" raise because the team won 10 games with "enormous talent again" shows the incompetence all the way up the "football chain".

Coach Will Friend leaves and the two largest hits to our recruiting program thus far? Two highly rated (if you believe what the media has to say) offensive linemen going elsewhere.

Just like last season, (Pruitt hired quickly) head coach needs someone that understands offensive line play to come in and save his butt.

In my mind the biggest issue is . . . . Under this head coach there is little chance of advancement. Take a look, the proof is before our eyes.

Drop the good man stuff and look at the 2014 Season. If that has to be explained, the party is over. The losses and the wins. Tough schedule, not.

And those examples i gave Buc, were just the two most glaring. I didn't even get into Joe Cox blundering through 2009 with Murray, Mettenberger and Logan Gray on the bench. Many others, too many to liat

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

sadlerdawg, understand, started to mention some of the others, it is a long list.

Have been asked more than once about my thoughts on Faton Bauta. Some saying what has he shown to have you stand up for him.

When asked that question, shake my head and answer back . . . . when has he had the chance to show me anything, or you.

I know what some of the players have said that are no longer on the team, graduated and such, almost to a player they say Bauta is a very talented quarterback.

Must realize that the forces that protect the head coach are the ones that I refer to as "watching their step", they like sitting and moving around Butts-Mehre and . . . . their jobs are dependent on falling in line.

Now we have a situation arising that closely resembles what has gone on with Ramsey and Bauta. Folks can say what they want about Jacob Park, unless Ramsey gets hurt, head coach has "his" quarterback "again".

Faton Bauta was led along, he was getting just enough coach "support(?)" making it appear that there was a "competition" for the position. Same will play out as I said above with Ramsey/Jacob Park.

Here is one that never, ever is mentioned. Press always looking for the "big story, first" or covering the Groups backside.

Example of talent that is sitting on the bench. Very familiar with this young man, played football a few miles south of my residence. Already can read defenses better than the head coaches selection at quarterback in 2015.

Watch the video and tell me that Sam Vaughn can't play the position.

Edit . . . . Meant to add this. Sam Vaughn is a 6'4" Aaron Murray. YES, I SAID THAT.
