After 15 years, we're on the right track to be an 8-4, 9-3 program.

Want another example of superior coaching from Saban? Look no further than the 2014 off season hire of Lane Kiffin. Arguibly one of the most controversial coaches in the game, Kiffin; while not yet ready for primetime HC duties, does possess a skill set for a wide open, attacking offense.

Why would this be attractive to Saban?...Because Saban recognized the FACT that his defense would be a weak spot entering into the 2014 season. Instead of moving players to and fro, Saban hired a "loose cannon" as OC, to offset the points taht would likely be scored against his weaker defense. This is no slam to Kirby Smart, it's recognizing your weaknesses and adapting to improve your chances....Because winning conference championships IS what Bama does!

I give Kiffin one more season before he is ushered stage right. During this period, Smart will have recruited and rebuilt his D, while Kiffin will have rebuilt his career and marketability.......WIN/WIN!!!!....

Conversely, we discharge S&C coaches, under recruit while recruiting players we will never give playing time, rearrange players to fill gaps, all while espousing the knowledge that we are on the right track!

I was looking at next years schedule the other day and would like to be the first to say the following:

After the usual summer information drought, anxiety of the 2015 season will be at it's normal peak....We open ULM, then Vandy, USCe and Southern.....Concievably we could be 4-0, with the doe-eyed vissions of crystal at epic levels. Then Satan descends upon God's Country...followed by UT and Mizzery....4-0 could quickly become 4-3, or the reverse if we drop another to USCe, all before our first bye week! ....You heard it here first!

8-4 or 7-5 is what I see coming next year....and we will likely give Tech 2 in a row!

Saban recognized as you say NC_Dawg a hole in his team that would need repairing. What did Nick do . . . . actually gave the football to Blake Sims and said . . . . run with it, run with it meaning he had a quarterback that is more than a stand in the pocket quarterback.

Saban/Kiffin did what was necessary, both moved away from a "set pattern", could say they experimented in "live time" with Blake. The same Blake Sims that grew up in Gainesville, Georgia.

Have tried to stay away from Faton Bauta conversations. Richt/Bobo are "not" going to allow any young man to play the quarterback position unless . . . . it is played they way Richt/Bobo played the position in high school. I say high school only, Richt did not play as a pro.

Comes back to coaching "capabilities". Our head coach and quarterback coach are like a couple of South Georgia mules, stubborn. Stubborn is not the only thing, both are running the same plays that they ran when they were playing the position. Tired of hearing how "inventive" our head coach was in Tallahassee.

Read an article today about Mike Bobo and how good he has been. He has been involved in a lot of victories, he has also been less than great against highly rated teams.

As has been said on this board . . . . Nick Chubb makes a long run. Remains in the game on the goal line and . . . . Todd Gurley and South Carolina. The list is very long.

Not impressed with 8/9 win seasons, wrong for me to accept coaching that can not move our team forward . . . . this word "consistently" does not fit our head coach. For too many years we have been unable to get both sides, offense and defense to play at the same level, together. Anyone care to to refute that statement?

Maybe that is what our head coach is talking about when he mentions us being on track. Believe it when I see it. Words don't count with me any more, have heard the same "coach speak" for years.

If those that blog don't keep the coaching staff and the Athletic Director's feet to the fire, not a damn thing will change. Not even in "2016" as some boards are posting now. Mark Richt has always been "2 years away". Away from what, beats the spit out of me.

Yeah... Bobo has been great

right up until those crucial game moments when he's not...

Like not running Gurley against SCe

Like running Chubb two more times after he just reeled off 65 and was gassed..

Like not scoring a TD after the fake FG gave us first and goal inside the 5...

Like the patented "run it again" slant pass that was intercepted... a play call the entire Tech team knew
was coming. Watch it again if you don't believe me. They knew exactly what play was coming and ambushed it.

Any defense of this staff is lost on me right now. I don't care how many points we scored. In clutch moments, we
always find a way to NOT finish the drill. Even when we had the great Aaron Murray, our great offense too often
failed... always at a crucial moment,, after our coaches decided to insert their heads in their collective cans.
