Wartdawg,....I've watched and rewatched that play many times....and you are absolutely correct! Yech knew it was coming, bracketed Malcomb and jumped the route. Mitchell had Zero chance of catching that pass....This is yet another example of play calling redundancy. It was first brought to my attention in the failed attempt by AM against Bama in the SECC...We'd used that play many times in similar circumstances.....Bama knew it and reacted.....So did Spurrier, this year, when Hutson tried to pull it off against USCe.....the famous No Gurley series.....
