Might be that it is me, getting long in the tooth, but . . . . as has been said here, this is an ongoing thing in Athens. Has happened often and now I hear our head coach say this . . . .
“I know we are on the right track."
Does the above statement mean that we have not been on the "right track?" Believe that we are losing many from the 2014 Team that will graduate and leave early for the NFL.
Anyone believe that the incoming players will pick up the playbook quickly and perform at a high level in the SEC? Possible . . . . yes, probable . . . . no.
In my opinion, a large amount of the success we had in 2014 was because of Andrews at center. Watching Andrews reading the riot act to the offensive and defensive players on the sideline Saturday, that will be missed . . . . "Leadership". Hutson Mason and our running backs success in 2014 was directly related to Andrews. Yes, he was that valuable. Incredibly hard to replace a talent like Andrews.
As stated above, the machine is already grinding out a replay of years gone by. Been around for a few years, their approach does not change . . . . "All is well in Swellville".
What I see is this . . . . rebuilding, not reloading in the Classic City.
Alabama under Nick Saban has reloaded from his second year coaching in Tuscaloosa until now. That my friends is "Leadership".
