Small wonder why some teams do so well year after year in college football.
Also surprising how some that seem to recruit well seem to have problems.
Dawg With Style posted . . . . Hope everybody is having a great memorial day Thank the one's this day is for.
This Is what I want in a coach. Pruitt got married Saturday.
He said no time for a honeymoon have to get ready for the season.
No time for nothing but football wonder what he would do for Richts pay.
DWS, guess this young man is all about football, seems that way. Who knows, at some point we might find out what he would do for Richts pay. Pruitt might end up being a little too "brash" for the Group. They need a front man.
Would appear that we (UGA) have recruited well, according to the polls. 8-5 does not reflect a whole lot of positive results from the recruiting reflected below. Leadership?

Interesting read below.
Can only imagine how 2014 recruiting would have ended up if grantham had remained. Know it is beating a dead horse, but when I think about what was actually going on in Athens, scary as all heck.
Names mentioned in the article, such as Kirby Smart and Jimbo Fisher. Real competition when it comes to recruiting in South Georgia. We already know that many of the young men in the Atlanta area don't feel they have to support the University of Georgia.
Personally feel if grantham had not left, our program would have suffered for years to come. My understanding is that the coldness between Richt and grantham had reached a serious point of no return. Could be that Richt would have fired grantham, took him a while but he did get rid of Willie.
History has not been written about Jeremy Pruitt, but already we see some needed changes being made throughout the team, it was needed and is still needed.
One other note, notice in the article that Kirby Smart and the offensive line coach for Lowndes High School are good friends. Another case of a defensive coach helping with the recruiting of offensive players. Mike Bobo brings much of the same to UGA.

Notice the headline lead in to the article. Had to mention JHC's name, more "clicks".

Buc we know that tbe conversation and results would be much changed if Towel had stayed
My local guy says Towel and CMR had a meeting after the Vandy game Towel find a new home
You won'tbe back in 2014. The wheels to hire CJP started much earlier than the 4 days we
Were told
CJP will have the groups blessing as long as he produces he is not the ass that Towel was
IMO. All that is happening in college football is causing the group to pause and see
What their best next move will be. Playing field has and is changing for all parties

yankeedawg1, believe the upcoming meeting in Destin, Florida is going to get the NCAA's attention, like big time. Emmert had hoped that this type of involvement would not be approached by the Big 5 Conferences. Emmert another of those "million dollar" a year folks that is trying to hold on to his undeserved yearly pay.
I am one that thinks moving the recruit signing day earlier makes a lot of sense. Gives the incoming freshmen a longer period to learn the play book, saves some of the recruiting money being spent up until the February signing day.
On your post above. Deal was put together a lot sooner than many of us out here are privy to. Regardless of how it turns out, glad that grantham's butt is with another university. Won't last too long. Say again, grantham's "ego" does not promote "team play among coaches".
Tracy Rocker I know a little about over the years . . . . Pruitt, will learn more . . . . soon.

Think most of us understand that there were many choices prior to grantham. For some reason top notch defensive coordinators did not choose to set up shop in Athens.
Who knows, maybe Jeremy Pruitt/Tracy Rocker will keep that smile on Mark Richt's face. Defense and team have been through enough in the past. Maybe at some point the word "continuity" will have meaning.
Easy to get "fired up" with coaching changes, happens often in college football. Past time for UGA to get "solid" in the coaching department.
