There has been conversation on this board about the future of college football.
Several things come into play when discussing college football . . . . NCAA, NFL, M&M.
First. The NCAA as we have known it is dead.
Second. NFL. Shaking in their boots. Now they are talking about expanding the NFL Playoffs to more games. Unheard of until colleges started to bring the subject into play.
Anyone that doubts the power of M&M (Disney) better get a grip on the future of ALL SPORTS. Remember this, Disney only plays with others when "they" have complete control. Subject has been approached on this board, very little chatter here, folks get mad "after" they have been "used". Too late to "chirp" at that point.
Players in college and the NFL are beginning to bring "issues" to the table. NFL does not like that, but the future is clear from where I sit.
The future . . . . we have discussed this before, and here it is again. M&M got together with the "strongest" college football conference in the country (SEC). Never doubt that Disney will bring the NFL to their knees, if need be.
Anyone remember a while back when the M&M conversation was trying to get some "footage" here? Remember some of the posts that said, "you and I have not seen anything yet"? Strap on your headgear, the future is now.
Article below says many of the things that we have tried to bring up here. One member that I remember posting to this in a big way was Goose. Comments to the article say a lot.

Edit: Have no way of knowing of course, but wonder if anyone reading this thread has opened the video above with Mark Dantonio speaking at the 25 second mark. From where I sit, this head coach is spot on. Allow me this . . . . If I could choose one coach to lead the Georgia football team, Dantonio is my choice. Many names have been bandied about for several years, some really high profile coaches that deserve to move up. Not being ugly, still looking for leadership at the top. Something along the lines of the VA. Shinseki, good "field General", terrible manager of the VA. Wonder if that makes those that read this board think along the "same lines". Just asking, not Just askin . . . .
If you have not opened the video, here it is . . . .
