ECHO in the room . . . .

Interesting read below. Seems others feel that McGarity and others have some "things" to figure out. Comment section on gtp is usually very good.

One of the comments in the link . . . . How is frugal McGarity going to let loose of the funds to support this? How much will the hot dogs cost? Changes are a comin.

Another comment from the link.

My couch an HD big-screen TV are looking even more attractive. Have heard that same statement on this board . . . . and others.

Seems that the Disney take over is beginning to register. Disney will be the "death" of the NCAA, as we have known it. Just saying . . . .

blutarsky.wordpress.com/2014/05/27/im-so...your-call-right-now/

Edit: Just how many folks are going to put out the "increased" ticket cost to see a mediocre schedule, as suggested by McGarity and the Group? Disney understands this. They will charge x amount to start with, and then the price will move forward. Anyone check the price on Disney tickets moving up in cost at their theme parks? Same will happen once fans are commited to SEC Network.

My guess is most will watch the games on HD/LED TV, beverage close at hand, hot dogs and wings at a minimal cost. What was once upon a time "tailgating" on campus will be fans "tailgating" in private parties at the "home forty". Might be wrong, willing to take bets.

Being ugly, don't think so, just "calling" the game as "I" see it. Have chirped on this subject longer than some. I said that. Anyone want to go back over previous posts and reasons for post, also willing to do that.

Say again, go to 9 "real" games, can't have the "games of the past" . . . . so be it. Next step from Disney aka M&M, 8 college football slots to play for the NC. Willing to bet that also.

Another site that I visit often. Lady Sportswriter digs deep and produces meaningful copy.

This is another conversation that has been "visited" by a "couple of folks" on this board. Not third down and goal to go, much deeper than that. JMO.

theladysportswriter.com/georgia-football...erous-injury-issues/

Think this video fits? We are not in the 1950's, bodies have changed. Cannot count how many folks in the Bulldog Nation have made the "injury" excuse for not doing better than we have. My opinion, this comes down again to "Leadership". If you are old and don't know . . . . ask questions . . . . I said that.

Latest report out . . . .

DESTIN, Fla. - James Franklin tried to be a thorn in Georgia's recruiting during his three years at Vanderbilt. Now Franklin is further away, all the way up at Penn State, but he's not done trying to recruit in the peach state.Franklin and Penn State staffers will be "guest coaches" at a camp at Georgia State in June. It's part of an effort to boost the Nittany Lions' profile in Atlanta, and capitalize on the inroads Franklin made while at Vanderbilt.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt was asked Tuesday if that was any concern to him."They’re recruiting our guys anyway," Richt said. "It’s only an hour to Athens, so it’s not a problem for me."

The SEC has a rule that prevents its coaches from doing the same thing, so don't look for Richt to retaliate by holding a camp in Philadelphia. So Richt was asked if, given what Franklin was doing, the SEC should let its coaches do the same. And again, Richt shrugged it off, and sounded like he would prefer to not be tempted. Georgia's head coach is usually in favor of restrictions on recruiting that allow coaches more time to their families in the offseason."You’d like to have, again, you’d like to have some sanity in your offseason, if there is such a thing," Richt said. "One of the things that we voted for at the (AFCA) trustee meeting is a little bit of a dead period – we were shooting for a month dead period in the summer where everybody just had a chance to get to know their wife and kids a little bit. If we were allowed to do that, I think you would just, you and your staff would be spread so thin."Georgia already hosts two summer camps aimed at recruiting, including a Dawg Night and a Mark Richt camp. "We’re blessed that people come to our camps. I think the kids that are really truly interested in Georgia, and kids that love Georgia that just want to get the instruction by our coaches and all that, they’re able to come and they do come," Richt said. "I think there’s so places where you might have to do something like that."

This is what Buc has to say about the above. Mark Richt, when you are making the money you are, comes a time when you have to think outside of the box.

Reminds me of the question that Dawg With Style asked on this board.

Something like this . . . . Pruitt has not taken a breath, marriage and that, but he said there is a time to focus on what coaches in college football do to earn their money.

Over three (3) million dollars a year, there will be time to "get off of your ass" and spend as much time with the family as you wish, head coach. Sorry, ain't buying into the "lazy" leader (?) that so many do.

Again, many come to this board and others and want to see something better. Check the past 13 years and come back to this board and say . . . . "satisfied". We lack leadership.

Here we have a new defensive coordinator (Jeremy Pruitt) and what do I see being "played out again" . . . . Bottom feeders "protecting the top". Sad.

If listened to closely and understanding what Nick Saban is saying in the video below, makes so damn much sense to me.

Some, not most, understand that urban meyer did not want to coach in the SEC. I think for this reason, he is a damn "carpet bagger". urban meyer is a "look at me individual", and he is that "individual". A person that believes "he" is the "man".

Means so much to me to get a head coach at UGA to move past the "stuff" that continues to be presented to us "old timers".

Do I believe we have that head coach, no. Mark Richt will never get UGA above where we are now.

Like it or not folks, that is why Alabama found what they were looking for. They searched.

I don't pull Auburn into the conversation for this reason . . . . their program is based on recruiting in the State of Georgia. If anyone reading this post believes differently, look at their recruits in 2015.

Buc's biggest problem is this . . . . Leadership.

Buc leadership IMO is the rudder on the ship with it you can set and hold a course without you can't hold direction and

Turn in endless circles driven by elements beyond your control. All good companies and sport teams have leadership

Sometimes it is shared by several within the organization last year we had AM who without question was a leader by example

We have seen that CJP shows leadership qualities I sense he will draw players into being leaders also as will CTR

I belive we will see leadership in Athens that hasn't been present in many years. Godfather needs to stand aside

Choices are lead, follow or get the hell out of the way. CMR pick number 3 please

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, up this morning and went back to your post #17. Good post yd1.

At this point I also go along with selection #3. That is what we get regardless of other wishes. Richt can recruit, falls short in other areas, JMHO.

Not a doubt in my mind that Tracy Rocker will lead. Lots of fire left in his body. By all appearances, Jeremy Pruitt and his hand picked coaches don't have time for the BS that has been hanging over our heads for far too long.

Lots of talent on this 2014 team. Do not see a game on the schedule that we don't have a chance to win.

Hard to go undefeated, check Alabama out going 0-2 at the end of last season.
