TN Dawg, thanks.

I must tell you and everyone else, Buc is a very fortunate old fart. Served my time in the business world, of which I am very proud. Not without mistakes, but the wins far out paced the losses.

As you say TN Dawg, this board/site is very close to being a "One Stop Shop" . . . . come and go as we please, say what we want within "reason".

Don't consider myself to be the only one with UGA information, I have read and learned a lot from many on this site.

Probably the one thing, or maybe should say, one of the things that I find satisfying is the amount of knowledge that this board and its members bring here for all to see. Many and that is a sincere statement, many on this board really understand the game and it shows in the posts often.

As ogredawg said again recently, the back and forth without some of the vile BS that I see elsewhere is what separates us from many.

One mullet wrapper in Georgia turned me off a long time back because they got away from "professional journalism". They fell prey to the number of "hits" they could get, rather than quite frankly, being professional. Not that the beat writers were not competent, I believe it was for the most part a "job security" issue. Newspaper business is a dying industry and of course they have to try and make ends meet, however, there is a professional way and the "other way". Too bad the latter was chosen.

Sorry, long again. Buc is willing to talk about anything, that is if I have any insight into the conversation at hand.

Let me give one example of what I am trying to say about this board.

This morning a little after 6 a.m. ogredawg posted on this site the name of a player in Georgia, Alpharetta to be exact. Nick Wilson. I was not aware of Nick Wilson and it sent me on a journey to find out more. Keeping in mind that ogredawg does not live in the State of Georgia and cares enough about the Red and Black to post before many remove the sleep from their eyes.

I know quite a bit about high school football players in Florida, try to make it a point to pass that information along to this board. I am privy to some things that others aren't, but that also was earned by me during my time as a working stiff.

Sometimes I wonder why I don't see more of what ogredawg did this morning from those that keep up with high school football in Georgia. Also realize that you are not in the State of Georgia TN Dawg, but you have been pretty active over a period of time.

Said several paragraphs back that I chirp too much . . . . it happened again. :)

One more thingy . . . . Several or most of the folks that post on this site regularly are out of staters. Wonder about that often . . . . ok that's all. :)

I look forward to your posts, whether we are on the same page or not. You are one that has been here for a long time and quite frankly, stood your ground. That in my way of thinking is a good thing.

ogredawg, find myself looking back to my youth in South Georgia, Douglas, and riding to town on Saturday's with my Uncle John with his mule pulled wagon, hitching up to the hitching post at the farmers market and watching him barter vegetables he raised for things like sugar, salt, etc. No refrigerators at that time on his farm, smokehouse with ice blocks covered up with sawdust. Kerosene lamps for light, feather mattresses, well water. Never lost my ties to Coffee County and still have many relatives that never left to move to the "city".

There I go again, chirp about anything . . . . stop. :)

ogredawg, notice that you sent a thank you for post #22. I know that you know and understand what I said, that is where we come from. Proud of it.

Seabees are a tough bunch. Started in WWII, I think that is right. Construction from top to bottom, they were a large part of winning WWII. Can't cross those rivers and other obstacles without the Seabees. That is what some have thought was needed in Athens . . . . but in my opinion it is not being handled that way in Athens. The "bottom feeders" are doing their job, problem exists elsewhere. Those that don't get their "hands dirty". Ride on the backs of those that put the work in.

Case in point . . . .

What McClendon has done for UGA cannot be measured by "salary" for sure. I see folks making a lot more than McClendon, doing nothing close to what he is doing for the University of Georgia.

Speaking now as someone that owned his different businesses. Understanding the depth of moving forward, through all of the "stuff" that remains in front of "progress".

Will make a simple statement, believe it to be absolutely true.

Mark Richt is a "front man" he is not a proficient sideline Head Coach in the SEC. At the county fair, he is the "barker" that gets you to enter the tent. Once in you understand that you have bought the bill of goods. The (three headed lady with a beard) only had two heads. Circus moves on to the next town, nothing changes, except . . . . a different audience. We have a different audience every year concerning our football team. That is exactly what Mark Richt is doing now, moving from one Georgia town to another, that is his job, putting butts in the seats.

Like I have said more than once, not trying to be "ugly" just posting what "I" see and am not bashful to say it.

Go Dawgs, New coaches, Coach'em up . . . . We have been looking for "leadership". High school coaches seem to understand. Just saying.
