Are You Willing to Speak about 2014? was created by Buc
Is it too much for myself and maybe others to believe that Pruitt will turn our program around?
Will Pruitt be a big enough force to do just that? Can or will Pruitt’s defense stop yards gained between the twenties? Does Pruitt have a plan for that?
Is it too much for myself and maybe others to believe that Bobo will continue to put points on the board?
Am I wrong when I mention that the offense outside of the offensive line is loaded?
For example. Last season (2013) we had a team that put points on the board. There have been other years, just trying to keep it real with one season being discussed.
Feel most have looked at our schedule (2014). Anyone care to choose who we will and won’t win against?
Reasons if you have them.
Realize that we don’t have everyone in the position that they will play at this point but, many come to this board and talk like they know much about UGA football and football in general.
Easy enough to look at the Roster. Same goes for the incoming players that you can or can’t put into the mix. If however you have been watching recruiting, must have a pretty good idea about the chances of those coming in as freshman, and their chances of playing time. Also, should have a good feel about those players in Athens.
I feel that there is a lot of talent in Athens, is it enough for UGA to have a successful 2014 Season, or do we need a lot of help or some help from the incoming recruits?
What this thread comes down to is . . . . What would you do and plan for a successful 2014. Don’t expect a lot of traffic on this thread. Easy to chirp after the fact, but if you know that someone on this board “saves” your posts from the get go, think it shows you are into UGA football. Who knows, might surprise ourselves.
Could be a player or position. Could be the offense or the defense. Not really looking to kick coaches butts, talking about talent and possibilities.
If you are one of those that likes to say something like “I told you so”, say it now. Down the road it will probably come back to show what you did or did not know.
Sounds fair to me. Anyone want to play, or as many do, read and post after the fact?

Hey Buc Thanks for keeping the. Posts coming during our yearly. Dead period
I will try to help haul the ashes keep the wood box full
I posted here on several threads that I would not trade our problems for anyone else's
I feel the same about our football team
SEC. Many changes personnel and coaches so we are right in the thick of things
On offense HM does not have to put up AM passing numbers just take csre of the football
Second half of last season IMO we had one of the best screen pass play options in college football matter not who the back was this will again be a money play for us
I think oir O line will surprise both in ability and depth
Look to see freshman get PT. Sense coaches have bought into building depth which only comes from meaningful game snaps
Heard many reasons that FB won't play. I will give you 3 why he will play
1.HM has only one season before we need to replace him. CMB wont wait until the UK game to get FB experience
2. Both CMB and CMR understand FB brings a completely different skill sets to QB that opposition defense will not be prepared for
3 Why did FB wear the headset rather than HM last season. IMO. OJT
Now for the defense. Take CJP at his word. Play fast with an attitude keep it simple
How this shakes out we shall see. Do I see us being better hell yes same with ST
Looking back to 2013 how many games won had we had just a half of a defense
Schedule in our favor keep the ACL bug away we can and will make some noise

Defense will be much improved anchored by a strong line. I like coach CW but Rocker will have them GATA. Should see a lot more subbing in the LB core keeping them fresh for the 4TH quarter. DB no where to go but up for that bunch definitely won't see the arm waving style of coverage.Offense should put up decent numbers. I'm a little concerned about HM didn't see the fire in him that I like in a QB. I like some one that's going to take control and when someone messes up they give them a ear full. Would have loved to have MB say like JP did that everyone starts with a clean slate every year. RB and WR not much to say there we are loaded.Hope to see a improve O-line play, TE position is a very important in our system and hope no one gets injured we are very thin.ST is the other area that's bound to be better, don't think it could get much worse.
As far as predicting our wins. That's hard because you don't know which UGA team will show up.Will it be the one that played against LSU and SC or the one that played against Vandy and Neb. Do like the open dates before the SC and Fla games.

I have a feeling the D is going to be much improved, but the overall is still going to be the same old, same old. We'll play a couple much closer than they should be, lose one we should, and probably lose one or two that we shouldn't. I know you didn't want this to be on the coaches, but my prediction has to take the coaches into account. We'll show up uninspired for a couple, take our foot off the gas too early once or twice, or just plain come down to a coaching blunder at the end of the game.
I still don't think we have enough depth on the O-line, so regardless of Friend's coaching abilities, I'm not seeing much improvement there. Still hoping to see Bauta in a role larger than a wildcat once a game or in mop-up duty, but kinda doubting it. I hope I'm wrong, but while Pruitt is a great hire and will improve the D, the "king" hasn't changed so I don't really see the overall team dynamics changing much.
Buc, feel free to lock this away in the vault and bring it out if we make the final 4, because I will be glad to say I was mistaken.

DAWGtm, good stuff. Say more, you have really found your way on this board.
sadlerdawg, you know that I have respect for you and your opinions. From where I sit, you are a Stand Up Guy. I see some things that make me a bit uneasy. Takes more than words and smiles to correct coaching problems.
