Wondering what the outcome will be for Coach Chris Wilson. mark richt is the head coach, it has been said that todd grantham made the hire. That is not surprising, richt is the "front man" lets others do the work.

No doubt in my mind that Pruitt will hire the folks he wants. Nothing wrong with that. If I were in charge of either side of the ball, would want that kind of responsibility.

By the same token, if I were the athletic director or president I would hire the head coach that I want. Can see where mcgarity is coming from, mark richt remains. Jeremy Foley he ain't.

Dawg With Style, it has been a mess for the past 5 years under the current head coach and athletic director(s).

Problem is not or has not been the talent level of the players, it is the missing component (talent) with the upper level.

Bleacher report has a link to Pruitt's first interview. I look at it through the BR app, so linking it while on a mobile device isn't easy.
Pretty sure most of us can find it though...

I liked some of the things he said... especially that he understands that it's not what the coordinator knows in his head, it's what the players on the field understand and can execute.

I think that was pretty much a shot across the bow of the previous coaching methods. I like the talk about aggression, playing simple so you can play with speed, and then letting your athletes just win battles.

Doesn't change any feelings about MR... but as a fan of UGA football it's what you want to hear from your new DC. He's still got to prove it to me on the field though... I've "heard" nice things before.

I also still have hope his DB coaching experience allows him to DC and coach the secondary... so we've got an open space for a ST coach.

WD, believe he did both at FSU.

Also, what you described above is the they way FSU players decribed his coaching style. The players said he was VERY aggressive and kept it pretty simple so they could play fast/downhill. They loved that style and had fun in the process....quess any player would.

I don't think many of our players this past season had one lick of fun when the other team was passing. Not sure even about the rest of the time either. Sort of hard to be good time Charlie when you're chasing someone while wildly waving your arms and screaming WTF!!

Really hope I don't see that ever again from a UGA team...
