Allow me this again. I cannot accept the fact that the offensive side of the ball does not understand that playing college football this day and time relies on the offensive line. sadlerdawg can you even start to imagine what UGA could have done the past five years with an offensive line with "depth". Some now know that AM was all that, too damn bad his coaches didn't.

Trying real hard to be good, but my blood boils a little easier these days.

Buc, your post immediately brought to mind what a guy at the gym told me today. QUOTE...."I read where UGA is projected to start the 2014 season ranked #5."....I told him I'll wait for the final rankings at the end of the season.

Buc, will be a great hire by Texas but wouldn't you "guess" Strong was about UT's 5th pick behind Saban, Mora, Briles and Fisher?

Folks our age, (not dragging you into my era sadlerdawg) but you are not a spring chicken.

Understand that college football has changed. Now the refs lean to offensive football (not their fault) (Media wants it, ESPN). That will get worse with Disney. They want to see back and forth football. Folks will sign up to watch the LED/3D Disney Football. What is that saying, follow the money. Field that you are in, you understand follow the money. That is where the game is and fast becoming a part of the NFL. Eagles, to wit . . . .

There is more than one reason that my avatar represents in my opinion the best coach ever in Athens. I love defensive football, as did Erk. Erk was forced to play serious defense, reason . . . . VD was truly three yards and a cloud of dust. Erk and his "runts" had to save many a game for the Red and Black, and did just that. Then were ushered out the back door.

Statesboro as a city appreciated Erk, Statesboro as a group of football folks knew they had captured the crown jewel of college football when Erk left VD. Have said enough about that over a period of time.

One last thought . . . . I hope, sincerely hope that you continue to be repetitive. Truth is good for the soul. Hope all is well with your son, some need to represent what "our country should be about". You were there, so was I.

Buc, I will continue to be repetitive, maybe just not as passionately as before. It gets old. Been saying it for years. I think myself and a couple of others we all know were the "first string". Time to show that our fans have built the depth our "coaches" refuse to. Let the second string of fans in the game and start beating the drum. Seems far too many are still under the impression that if richt makes changes, (see: get rid of grantham), that he is still the man for the job.
I've stopped feeding the uga cash machine, but unless a lot more fans with a lot more $$$ stop, the "group" will never take note.

wlayton, you are right about the marching order when it comes to choosing. Kind of reminds me of our defensive coordinator's place in line . . . . Charlie will do much better.

And we are going to be better than whom? Vanderbilt, Mizzou , TAM, hell even DUKE.....not saying much then are we?
