I dont even watch any more.I know what to expect. It is no longer worth planning my weekend around with this coaching staff.

While I still watch, it has taken a back seat to where Georgia football was once in my life.

The way the group in Athens is handling the football program reminds me of the dude on the street corner opening up his long overcoat, displaying his "Rolex" watches. He has a special deal for me, buy one at a pittance of the real cost and will come back next year and hand over two of the same for the price of one. That is what Georgia football has come to under the current lack of leadership. Do I expect the man to be on the corner next year when I return?

First time, shame on you, second time, shame on me.

Anyone think that Disney is going to give us a "special deal"? Anyone believe that the current leadership in Athens will make a bold move such as the one just made in Texas?

For me the record ,9-4 Vanderbilt 8-5 UGA, doesnt just speak loudly of second tier rather a program sitting in a runaway coalbox with no brakes screaming down a mountain side. Only one way to stop it,hit bottom, we're on our way there gradually picking up speed. I believe its that dire.

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day

Read an article this morning about McGarity and Strong.

McGarity as atletic director shied away from playing Louisville once taking the post in Athens. To me that says this . . . . Strong is a better coach than our head coach. Strong would come into Athens with a team prepared to play. Any of us that watched the JAX Gator Bowl understand the Georgia problem with preparation has not improved. Said in another thread . . . . Up one game down the next. That way of playing Saturday football did not begin this year.

We are told that our defense is going to be gangbusters in 2014. Have heard that about both sides of the ball for several years. Promise you that is going to be the upcoming theme all the way to our first 2014 game.

Below is a paragraph from the article that I referred to above. Seth Emerson is the author.

But McGarity also made clear his respect for Strong by expressing his wariness in having to play his team, not just in 2012 in Louisville, but in that 2011 season opener in Athens. McGarity speculaated that opening with Louisville that year, with South Carolina one week away, was risky. Even though the Cardinals were coming off a 7-6 season, McGarity didn't want any part of the Louisville series.

Sounds like the way urban meyer runs things at osu. McGarity did not get the message about playing better football teams in the future. It is called simply this . . . . cover your you know what. Looking weaker and weaker Greg, not building any confidence among the peasants.

My thoughts, questions the faith that McGarity has in our head coach. McGarity does not have the power to release our head coach, that comes from another job/position description. Believe that.

Yeah... as noted by others, we will be one badass football team in 2014, right up until we get busted in the mouth early on
and then this will be brought out..

You know...good for Strong, he finally being recognized for how good a coach he has been through the years. He will do a great job for Texas.
