Buc mentioned the lack of interest in this bowl game... Like I said when he question was first asked.. this "bowl" matchup seemed to be the meeting ground for the two teams with decent enough record to be there, but little else.
It's like the Gator bowl lost the lottery with this one. I would be surprised if we don't see empty seats at the stadium, and on the couches.
If I had anything else to do on Jan 1, then I wouldn't give a hoot if I missed it as well. I will be watching, but only because I'll be at my parents house for lunch at that time and there's nothing decent scheduled on the History channel at noon.
Harsh? Maybe... don't really care. That's how I feel about it.
God Bless and Go Dawgs

Personally would like to see many of the bowl games removed, and get to the business of having an eight (

NFL playoff system proves that the dollars flow and attendance soars when more are involved.
If there was an eight team playoff this season, guess who would not be involved? With all of the talent that is in Athens, would like to hear that excuse. Guess we could start with injuries and suspensions.
For the most part, I always pull for SEC teams that play against other conferences. Not this time. I hope FSU kicks Auburn's butt.
We are already going to have a super hard time recruiting, Auburn wins, gets a lot tougher. Auburn has always depended on Georgia players, not the case with Florida State.
We spend more time recruiting Florida players than FSU does recruiting Georgia players. One thing for sure . . . . FSU wins the National Championship, South Georgia will be controlled by them again, especially if Jimbo Fisher remains.
Really have my fingers crossed that Keyon Brown stays with us. Take it from me, he is all that. FSU still working Keyon hard, another recruit from Florida. Appears to me that too many talented players in Georgia are not focused on Athens, home state means nothing. That could and would change if we find ourselves being coached up to our talent level.
History channel, definitely a winner in our home.

yd1, the Tampa area is a hot bed for really outstanding football players. Another thing, the education system also plays a part in the young men's lives.
There has been a "little press" on Paris Bostick, but here is the real deal. He is a young man that takes football and grades seriously. UGA fans will love watching Paris. Allow me this . . . . lots of folks got their spirits up when Tray Matthews signed on, that includes me. Paris is a bit bigger than Tray, and he also has a very bad disposition on the football field. Another player from Florida.
grantham has every reason to say that the 2014 defensive team will be good. Talent is 2 and 3 deep at every position, just simplify the damn system grantham.

Eh... I think most of us are pretty well grounded. We're passionate as we can be here, but that is what this place is meant to be; a place where we can let out all of our passion. This message board is our "playing field", and what we do here is let it all hang out so we don't walk off the "field" feeling we didn't give our all.
When we leave this "field" and walk back into our day to day lives, we leave what should be left on the field and don't carry it "home".
Great way to put it WD and based on many posts over the years it is obvious that most here do understand the big picture. I was just agreeing with Buc that we do get a little caught up in our passions about our beloved Dawgs sometimes....didn't mean it in a derogatory way.

WD....evidently there isn't too much interest here in Jax either. I got a call from our front office that the Jax office had many tickets that weren't distributed to our clients etc and did I want some. I said sure, can I get 6 seats??.....she said how about 8 and 2 parking passes. Believe I could have gotten 15.
I want to go to see HM. Imo I don't think he will be another Joe Cox.....he's much more talented....smarter and more accurate. He'll have a very good 2014 season....again my opinion.
