yd1, watching Boise State/Oregon State game also.
Getting back to quarterback play . . . . anyone remember Kellen Moore, quarterback for Boise State? Played the game the same way AM played. Kellen had his coaches confidence, and might add to that, the confidence of the team surrounding him.
The prima donnas come in (IC) and others and think that somehow something is owed to them. LeMay had his problems in high school. That was overlooked by the coaches at Georgia, giving him ample time to show his wares.
So much talk about Alabama and their quarterback. Young man was/is a leader, will go to the pros, might take a while, he will get his chance.
I think back to Archie Manning, yes I was around then. Might be the most talented quarterback I have seen in the SEC. One problem, chosen by the folks in Louisiana that liked to wear sacks over their heads.
Reason for Archie's lack of stats . . . . did not have an offensive line. Coaching was less than desirable.
Sure hope that we have figured that part of the puzzle out. Alabama at this point has the top two offensive linemen in the "country" moving to Tuscaloosa. Backs like we always seem to have in Athens would love to run behind a talented offensive line.
The smartest move that Mike Bobo made against Auburn this season, went to the short passes after halftime, and some just before halftime to give him a way to attack.
Long and short, we have a quarterback that chose us, now time for us to take a serious look at "talent" on the field, not from the bench.
Folks, just want "serious" change. If we don't accomplish much next season, don't think I need to finish the statement. Not even a BCS Bowl Game, comes down to leadership, both on and off the field. JMO.
