growl, hard to beat fresh green boiled peanuts.
Want to throw this one out there.
Know that Richt mentioned in the last couple of days his concerns over the injuries that have hit our defensive backs hard.
Before I read the Richt piece, started to post here my concerns about the upcoming Clemson game and the defensive backfield.
There are going to be some surprises there for sure, but after thinking about it a bit longer, what a great opening game to let these young pups get their feet wet. While I don't expect to lose the game, or if we should, there comes a time when inexperience needs playing time to become experienced. That has to happen at some point.
Believe we beat Clemson, yes am concerned with the injuries and the lack of overall defensive backfield experience.
Hold to this . . . . do not believe that the quarterback and one receiver can beat this group assembled in Athens. Win by a point, win by thirty points, suits me. If we should stumble, all I want to see in that case is the young men playing with effort and if making mistakes, honest mistakes, not lazy spit.
Be interesting to see where the opening line is in Vegas, especially after the talking heads on some fronts have Georgia ranked at #5. Not sure what the reasoning is one way or the other, but #5 is a pretty lofty spot.
See where Richt and his coaches have the players smacking each other around again. Not the same Mark Richt from a few short years ago. My opinion.
