Watching what little film was available on Dantzler, young man was not ready to play football in the SEC on Saturdays nor was he putting forth the effort. That is not taking a shot at Watts, it is simply the truth. Actually echoing what Watts said.
His body can stand more than this past summer in Alpharetta working hard, he spends another year getting "involved" in SEC Football and what it takes . . . . Watts will not only surprise me he will understand that Jeff "Doc" Andrews sees what so many thought was there prior to WD stepping on campus in Athens.
I will say it . . . . Watts Dantzler has been a huge disappointment from where I sit. This young pup can play guard in the SEC, maybe in the NFL. Does not have the footwork or twitch to play on the outside.
yd1, hope that Watts gets his wish, being in the "rotation" this season, just one serious obstacle facing this young man . . . . Will Friend. Obstacle meaning, goofing off needs to be put to bed. Will Friend does not play favorites like our ex defensive line coach did. Will Friend knows and appreciates effort, on top of that, demands it.
Good find yd1. Just returned from the VA.
Boiled green peanuts I bought from a company in Hawkinsville, Georgia, a bushel as a matter of fact. My friend from Lowndes County, Greg who played at UGA loves boiled peanuts, so made a delivery to him. He went to the Marine Corps after serving Dooley and continued serving his country.
One phrase that some of us like to use is this . . . . Love your freedon, than a veteran. God Bless.
Go hard Watts Dantzler, all of us, everyone of us are on your side. Do the right thing, Coach Will Friend is watching and he rewards those that earn the right to play on Saturdays and between the Hedges.

Would those be Hardy's peanuts by chance, Buc? My Mom used to bring the kids a big bag of Hardy's boiled peanuts to every home game. Those things are tasty beyond compare.
And I wondered why those grandkids loved their Granny so.

Yes sir they are Hardy's. The new crop came in the first of August. Bought a bushel of fresh green peanuts, come to me in two 1/2 bushel sacks. TN Dawg as a matter of fact, finishing my last two pots of boiling and the peanuts will go to friends and some in the freezer.
Many years ago I used to sit with friends and "others" in Florida and talk football around the boiling salty water. Have to realize that many living in Florida are . . . . excuse the term . . . . "yankees".

Long story short. I now use pressure cookers that take my recipe about 70 to 80 minutes to cook. Recipe is 1/2 cup salt to 1 gallon of water.
These road side stands use "raw peanuts" and that ain't South Georgia Green Peanut Caviar.
Grannies are special, know all of the tricks. Grannies and children are like Saban and football, just seem to go together.
We are getting there, I jest sometimes to get a response, other times dead damn serious.
Hardy's has a site on the internet. They put the green peanuts up at the end of the season and can be ordered boiled. They are great, almost as good as mine . . . .

Sorry, you hit a nerve TN Dawg, easily distracted when discussing "Georgia Caviar". :woohoo:
Last word . . . . The Hardy group are Dawgs . . . . so I have been told.

But still think he made a step in the right direction following Doc's nudge. Better to put the work in than just mailing in another season
That won't cut it in the SEC and for sure at UGA
CWF will keep in in check and make sure he keeps working. Go Dawgs !!
