He has a full year of SEC experience and the skill is there for him to move to the left side.
Don't really think there is anyone that can handle Clowney on any O line in college football. He is just that one of a kind player who comes along once in a blue moon.
Agree with everything you said.....potential but needs more physical strength imo.
Clowney was a bad example...still don't want Theus to face him....

For that one game it might destroy his confidence too.....wish he could face him everyday at practice, now that would get him better real quick.
I get you though....great competion can make you great......eventually.

ogredawg wrote: I don't know about that. He goes against some pretty good guys on the Dawg D. But yeah confidence would be a factor.
Yeah we have some good ones for him to practice against.....guess only USC has that opportunity to practice against a Clowney....sure it helps their OL.

You guys remember the football camp at UGA when Jordan Jenkins and Theus locked horns. Those two at that point were not playing college football. Think it was the UGA Camp, could have been Nike or one of the others, too lazy to search.
Anyway, there was some serious "stuff" going on between the two. Theus won the first battle, but Jenkins came back and kicked his butt. At that time Jenkins was all but registered in Tuscaloosa. Grantham stepped forward. These two will square off again tomorrow, Saturday. Should be worth the price of admission.
I am also one that said Theus would not play left tackle. Did not know about the foot. Do know that he was not in top shape and was pulled in the Orlando game. That however could have been because of his foot injury.
Nothing would make me happier than Theus stepping up and taking over left tackle. Clowney . . . . with Theus at left tackle and Quayvon Hicks at fullback, now that will be interesting.
Just my two cents.
