Buc I remember watching the two go at it at the UGA Camp. JJ was way (and I mean WAY) too quick for Theus....like you said, he ate Theus' lunch and Theus was sooo ticked off, he was about to explode.

Fun to watch, down and dirty, sandlot one on one......loved it!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Theus will be starting on the left side this year and will be a damn good one. He has all the tools and last year being raw and hurt he showed what he was made of. Tough young man and a star in the making IMHO.

I'm thinking Theus shows us why he was highly recruited this year. Clowney is no doubt a beast, but he was handled by UT left tackle last season. Think he only got loose once in the game, which resulted in a sack and fumble(why he is so dangerous). LT at Michigan handled him well in the bowl game too. That big hit on the RB was a blown assignment, other than that he was kept in check. He is blockable. We can't forget that it will not be Theus alone blocking Clowney. He will be double teamed, chipped by the backs and hopefully we run it right at him to slow that speed rush. Dude is good and will be the #1 pick, but he's not the end all, be all of CFB.

A healthy Theus has the ability to contain the beast!

One fact exists, Theus will start at left tackle. Have to believe that he will be in the best shape of his life when the Clemson game rolls around. As a freshman, and I guess hurt, probably leading to him not being in top shape, he however was still run blocking like a champ.

Do not for a minute believe that Wil Friend would allow this without his fingerprints all over the move. Don't know how much they will let the players go Saturday, suspicion in the trenches there will be some "agitated" young pups.

I sure hope ogredawg and DawgnLA are right.

Don't see Theus handling Clowney......just my opinion.....also believe it is a "mindset", if Clowney is motivated and wants to bring it, he will bring it.

Imo, he has the potential to be as disruptive as LT at the next level.

Question?? Will the coaches set up situations where Jenkins and Theus can "continue" showing their talents??

Really like Jordan being outgoing, especially during the interviews. This young pup really is going to be all that Grantham saw and went to visit with the family to let them know how deeply he felt.

I really do like seeing this coaching staff working together. Have not seen this since . . . . maybe EVER. Easy to give examples. Richt/BVG, VD/Erk, many other examples.

Really liked reading Reggie Carter working on Olivadotti for information. Plain and simply saying to his position coach that he wants to play, you teach me the plays, that is why I am here. Like it Brothers.

Started to post the total incoming group of recruits for 2013. Impressive. Going to be some red shirts . . . . building that depth. Some of the young pups coming in the Fall are not coming to Athens to sit.
