Don't get me wrong ogredawg. I know that you know football, probably as good or better than any of us. Thought maybe you had some inside "stuff" on the kid from just south of the Georgia Border.

This link that I am now posting is how this old fart (Buc) thinks. Has to do with character and honor, which could be applied to recruiting. Just a different time my friend.

Army Ranger Surprise


Many people have forgotten about his time in the U.S. Army. He is the son of an Air Force General and an accomplished Golden Gloves boxer and he graduated from Pomona College with a B.S. degree, and then became a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University .

He joined the U.S. Army at the prompting of his father. After graduating from Officer Candidate School he attended and graduated from both Army Airborne and Ranger training in the very top of each class. He was selected for U. S. Army Special Forces Training, but refused so that he could attend pilot training where he earned his wings, and became an accomplished U.S. Army helicopter (gunship) pilot, and achieved the rank of Captain.

He was about to be promoted to the rank of Major, and appointed to teach at West Point when he resigned his commission from the Army to go into music and acting.

DAWGtm, guess nothing was handed to this fine American. Times have certainly changed. When BMOC is used, it can be applied to this gentleman.

No inside info on Tunsil Buc. Just that we do recruit real well in Florida especially in North and central Florida. We lose enough to Saban and now Spurrier as it is. Just sticks in my craw a little that we let him get away. He could have come in and contributed right away and still might if he decides with UGA. Ole Miss is known for a good OL and have sent many to the NFL, but winners in the SEC west they will not be, at least until maybe Tunsil is a Sr. at best if then.

Heard that also wlayton. Too bad it takes a "bribe" to get quailty recruits.

Agree Buc, isn't strange how the ones that deserve the title BMOC never ask for it. They just keep on doing the things they know to do without asking for recognition. Also like his statement about that it should be mandatory that our leaders should have served.

Probably pretty hard for CMR to compete against "scholarships" being given to your girlfriend/fiancee.

Didn't post this before because they are all rumors but also heard that his mother "may" have "lucked up" into a new job as well.....hmmmm.....you hear that too?

Kamara going to bama might be a good thing who knows maybe one of those committed backs might flip flop and end up at Georgia.

Talk down here on the MS. Gulf Coast is that it is a Tunsil "Family Affair" at Ole Miss.
