We should be able to get at least 4 to 5 of the top 10 players in this state. Is this year just out of whack or is this going to start a trend of our top players leaving because we cannot win the big one.
Recruiting used to be our strong point not too many years ago and with statements like CMR made about having the #1 class is just stoopid.

From a recruiting standpoint allow me this . . . .
If Todd Grantham is being interviewed by the Saints and I am a young high school player with the ambition to one day play in the NFL, why would I not cast my lot with him? Who better to learn from if I am a defensive player in high school, would I not want to be around someone that is considered as one of the best, especially when we are talking about 32 jobs in the sport.
Todd Grantham is being recognized as a very good defensive coordinator that the NFL and the Saints and Eagles are very much aware of. Rumor also had it that the Cowboys were interested in Grantham returning.
Say it again, glad that Garner is gone.
When I read the following piece from Seth Emerson, from what I can gather, Todd Grantham is going nowhere. Looking forward to the Class of 2014, going to stock up on the offensive side.

With you on Garner. We will be stronger with him being gone.
As far as playing for Grantham and going to the NFL or say playing for Saban winning a NC or 2 and playing in the NFL it would be Saban hands down. Saban sends players to the NFL on BOTH sides of the ball.

Not many NFL teams after Saban as defensive coordinator these days. Some are better suited for college and some for the NFL. Saban can do and say some things to these young men that he can't do with the pros. Saban also will not walk in anyones footsteps, has to be the leader.
Garner caused problems that will never get to us, they will remain in Athens, and Mark Richt won't go there.

Problem with Saban in the pros was the same as Spurriers......players had the bigger egos and that just ain't gonna work.....:silly:
