I just want to know why they didn't do it when I'm sure 99% of everyone who has ever played football probably would have done it. Not doing it didn't fake Alabama out, so it's not like we caught them flat-footed expecting the spike.
No excuse... no blame for the loss being assigned. Just curious why... (also though... must note we also couldn't stop the clock with a TO... kinda handy from time to time to have one of those at the end of a game, eh).
Team gave it their all. The players didn't play scared... they showed up prepared and confident. Had the chance.
It's a real damn shame it ended with us unable to get another play off while we were at their 5... a real shame. 5 flippin yards away and we couldn't stop the clock.

Just immediately after the game I found myself trying to find a "why" for the
thing not breaking our way.
Tipped ball... caught in bounds and the clock runs out. Never in a thousand years
would you imagine something so unusual happening.... and I'm crushed by the
lost opportunity.
