That's true, wlayton. Spread 'em out and gut 'em. Get 'em back on their heels early in the game.

When we are on "D", I'd paint a life-sized, 3-D Jarvis Jones on Marcus Lattimore. Sacks are "sexy", but stopping Lattimore is "effective". JJ should be on Lattimore tighter than water on rain. I would make Lattimore think he has a Siamese twin, joined shoulder to hip. When Abuurn beat the 'Cocks last year, Lattimore got only 66 yards on 17 carries, 3.9 ypc. That is the key to this game. Do that, and I PROMISE you a win tomorrow night, and I don't care if they sack Murray 20 times. We will win if we keep Lattimore under 100 yards.

Dogs. Do NOT blow the opportunity that is before you. When Abuurn beat them last year, in Williams-Brice, the 'Cocks were ranked no. 10 in the nation. Stop Lattimore at all costs. Win this game, and guarantee you will not lose the following weekend.

What is this "we are with YOU"?

Listen guys... I get the argument, but where have we built up a resume of greatness?

From our victories over Vandy, Buffalo? From allowing TN to put up 44?

Hey, I think we are going to win as well, but the fact SC hasn't played any quality
opponents yet this season doesn't mean they are not a quality team, nor does it mean
their DE's are not impressive.

In "general"....in general....geez. Same side, root for same team, have same emotions, woof woof, sic 'em.......etc etc etc etc etc Don't take it so literal....;)

No argument from ME on that count, Wartdawg. Our most quality win this year (in terms of "who" we beat, not "how many points") was Tennessee - and I was sick all through that game. And like I said earlier in this thread, I would trade DEs with the 'Cocks prior to the game tomorrow, if that were possible - no question about that. I'm just saying that IN SPITE of their "greatness", I ain't chicken.

Spent a large portion of the day reading the posts, good to see the back and forth and the way the game tomorrow was discussed.

This might take some by surprise, but at this point in the season, looking at the numbers the offense is putting up and the variation of play calling, here goes.

I like first of all that Mike Bobo is upstairs, gets a great view of the entire field and what the defense is doing and not doing. To this point, most of what I have read is more about the on field play, and I agree. It is not accident in my thought process that Mike Bobo is much better calling plays upstairs, versus on the field. My opinion.

No accident that we are scoring a lot of points, and I believe that we are going to see the same results tomorrow on the offensive side of the field. Mike Bobo in my opinion has grown up to be a serious caller of plays, that of course goes along with having serious talent on his side of the ball that have worked together and stayed out of trouble.

This is a different group of players on the offensive side of the ball. In the spring and practice leading up to the season, the offense was facing what many college football aficionados called UGA one of if not the best defense in college football. Whether the best defense or not, that is yet to be seen, but they ain't chopped liver.

Offensive line was getting the hell beat out of them every practice day. Many questions arose, including Mark Richt who said . . . . "During the Spring I was scared to death" . . . paraphrasing of course, but his remarks were on point at that time. He after all was on the practice field watching the massacre unfold, not just one practice, everyday.

Tomorrow our offense under the play calling of Mike Bobo is going to light up that South Carolina vaunted defense. Their defense is very good, but they are not playing against an average offensive football team. I feel very comfortable with our offense, and tomorrow will be the largest test that they will face all season, by that I mean, crowd noise, competition and anything else that can be thrown into the bag of "what if".

Been around this UGA Football Team for a while, this is a top five football team. Would not at this point be afraid to play any team that is above us in the ratings. That is the way that serious football teams feel, there is not fear, couple of good licks, and the game is on.

OK. Would not be surprised to see us hang 40 points on the Carolina defense. Also, would not be surprised to see this team really come together on both sides of the ball, that is all that is lacking at this point. We hear how the defense does good, also hear how sometimes the offense does well. Tomorrow this group of young men will play for each other regardless of which side of the ball they play on. I truly believe that we have finally got a group that believes in the word team.

Last few words. Will Friend, I have watched our center more than most on the offensive line. Love this guy, and he stands his ground, also gets to the second level, puts his body on the line. My one hope is this, and I have said it more than one time this season . . . . Refs let them play.

Have enjoyed reading the posts you Brothers have skillfully put on the board to be read. Damn good bunch of Dawgs reside here.

Russ, time to wring a couple of chicken necks.

Go Dawgs . . . :)

Edit: After posting the above, looked around and read the link below, team talk, love it. Also picked up on Mark Richt talking about calling plays . . . used the "we" word. Mark Richt is also a part of the team . . . . :)

Probably most of you folks have seen this video. It is 8:30 p.m. Friday and I just got around to viewing this.

I really like what I see looking at AM's posture in this clip. Easy to see the confidence this 3rd year quarterback not only feels, he expresses it.

If there are any short nerve endings going into this game, me bet is that SS knows one or two mistakes will cost his team the maximum. Thinking that SS knows this is a very good football team that he will face. Some on here have mentioned the turnover thingy. Lots of truth there, can be said for most football games.

Will not be surprised if we hand it to SS and his troops. Fellows, don't see a lot of fear or can't do from AM.

Couple of wide receivers that are seldom mentioned that could turn out to be the undoing of the Carolina defense. I have followed Wooten for many years, more so after he became a Dawg, but he played serious football in the State of Florida. The Steve Spurrier defensive backs cannot handle 4 or 5 receivers that they will face for four quarters tomorrow night.

Don't be surprised if we see AM run one in for a TD, not talking about a sneak. Just saying . . . . :)

My days of worrying about what the other team has is over with this group of players. Comes down to this, players came back, pats on the backs for those guys. Feel UGA has made serious strides this season. Cornelius, this could be your day

This could be my last post before the football game in Columbia, would not however bet the farm on that . . . . :)

One more thingy . . . SS has not been as vocal or sticking it to Mark Richt as he usually does. SS is VERY concerned.
