Buc, I feel we win by two TD's as well, maybe three. It maybe close at half, maybe we lead by a TD, but I think the third and fourth quarters will be ours, and TG and KM will run wild, and we win going away.

My Glass half full view anyway,
My two cents...

GO DAWGS!!!

WoodstockDawg, one of my main concerns takes me back to last season. Conditioning. It appears to me that we are two deep on the defensive line and that for sure is a plus.

Might be wrong, don't believe that Missouri can go toe to toe with us along the lines of scrimmage and win. Going to see a lot of "wide stuff", trying to wear our front out. I am a great believer in position football, the way that most coaches teach the game. Stop the run at all costs and then we have Missouri playing to what should be at this point our strength . . . . the linebacking corps. Defensive backs have some maturing to do, imperative that our front seven are primed and ready for a Dawg fight.

If we can force Franklin to move out of the pocket, throw on the run, or simply run, believe Grantham and his gang are going to have some "fun" film clips that his defense is going to review on Monday. Could be as you say, three TD's.

Have said this numerous times, maybe should not again, but what the heck . . . . tightends could change the way this game ends up being played.

thriller, I admire your pp and vinegar, at my age I can only check men like you out and think back to my younger days. Don't change your enthusiasm my friend. I truly enjoy reading your posts and a whiner you are not. Exciteable . . . . maybe . . . ;)

I feel like a basket case right now! We're talking about a team that went 7-5 in the Big 12 last year...the biggest positive difference for Mizzou in this years team and lasts is the addition of a stud freshman wide receiver. BUT what good does a stud receiver do you if you can't get him the ball (3 catches, 32 yds against SE Louisiana)because you have a patchwork o-line protecting your QB (granted, the same could be said of our o-line.) Yeah, we got a few guys out on defense, but like Buc said, our two deep looks solid and most of our 2nd stringers would be starters for Mizzou.

I see zero, repeat ZERO, reason on paper why we shouldn't run away with this one...

...yet I'm more nervous about this game than I can remember being in a long time. I swear I'm gonna age at least 2 years between now and 8:00 tomorrow night.

We have better players.
We should win this game.
I take nothing for granted except that this is a true test of our character.

That's absolutely true but it's also absolutely true the game is played on a grass
field, not paper.

I am one who believes the game is usually won or lost on the line of scrimmage and
we should win those battles easily, so I agree we should be able to win this game
accordingly. Actually if all else is equal and it does just come down to our lines
versus their lines, then we should win by a solid 7-10 points even on the road.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

yd1, not only was your Friday post great as usual, it "perfectly" addressed this past week's "subject of interest", I might put it. Dead on and you are correct imo, nobody is "exempt".

I, too am very nervous but what else is new. My nervousness comes from knowing we are hands down the better team but we have "laid some eggs" before or as some people may put it.....we have choked before. If we play simply to our potential, we win by 2 TD's.

CTG will make Mizzou one dimentional. He's going to shut down the run and make Franklin beat us with his arm......don't believe he can do it without using his legs as well.

Said 3 months ago, this is the game of the year for us.....win big and we are off and running. If you have noticed, in the past, once we get on a roll, we are very good.

Btw, thriller, your post is great. We all appreciate your posts and feelings, whether concerned posts or "thrilled" posts.......like I mention the other day, we all whine in some sort of fashion, it's human nature, you aren't a whiner any more than any of us.....just a passionate human. ;)

Well I'm at the airport waiting to go to Mizzu for the game and I thought I would txt someone to see if someone was board the plane in Athens. And I kinda got a 50/50 answer. I asked "Can you let the cat out of the bag? Is ________ going?" Answer I got was "NAW" is that "NAW" to the first question or "NAH" to the 2nd question? I'm betting the Rambo and Tree aren't going.
