Fingers crossed, but Im thinking that was a naw, he cant say. I just think that the coaches are gonna do everything possible to make sure we have the best players on the field come Saturday!

fire_dawg, have to agree with your thoughts on the best players on the field. Todd Grantham, our short term defensive coordinator and Will Friend our even shorter time in grade offensive line coach will be on display for all to see. This particular game (Missouri) is going to tell us a lot about our coaches. Hear comments about players playing well, same applies to our coaches coaching well.

This game will begin as a "chess match" but at some point one side puts the other into checkmate. Looking at the pieces on the field, hard to believe we will be out coached or played. Nothing can change a funny bounce.

Saw one report today that showed Franklin standing in the pocket throwing the ball into the endzone for a touchdown. Media guy said that Franklin prefers to stay in the pocket and throw. At some point in this game of "chess" Franklin will not be allowed to do that, if all we have been lead to believe about our defensive prowess is factual.

AM needs to use "all of his pieces" if we are to return to Athens with smiles on our faces.

This game is building fascination, not only in Athens and Columbia, lots of interest coming from TV hype across the country. Good time for our football team to show some "Alabama vs. Michigan" like qualities, who knows the talking heads might move us up a notch in the rankings. Up to us.

Go Dawgs . . . . :)

I AGREE BUC!!!! This game will be HUGE in our future recruiting efforts! And Im liking the cooler temps and lower humidity for the game. Just think the game will come down to which team is in better condition physically. And with our guys be used to the warmer temps and higher humidity; think they will benefit more!! Because if they're used to playing in 90+ degree temps and higher humidity, it should be a walk in the park through the 4th quarter!
GATA!!!!!

Say it again averagedawg, glad to have you back in commission. Those 12 hour days have a way of messing with "young men" such as yourself . . . . Knowing you, probably still putting in the 12 hours.

averagedawg, Jenkins has said a couple of things since the Buffalo game that tend to make me agree with you. This is his year to make the NFL really look close. Another man up front that I really like is Abry Jones who is a man-child. Abry is going to shut any runner down that trespasses on his turf. Someone on the Tiger team is going to have a very long night going head up with Abry.

Really hope that our inexperienced offensive line and young backs do not have a hard time with the noise in the stadium. Hoping coaches worked them hard with sound effects the last few days. Offsides and procedure penalties can hurt the effort.

Go Dawgs . . . coach'em up! :)
