Yankeedawg1, read your “Blue Plate Special” a couple of times hoping that I came away with the crux of your message, hoping not to change your message with my ramblings.
I have the feeling from your thoughts that as you refer to a certain “word” that maybe both sides of the coin were flipped. Very easy to get perturbed with what one calls constant chatter on the same subject.
Think it is probably well known that I tend to wear my feelings on my sleeve, say what I truly think when faced with a decision. It is not a usual thing that I do here, but here goes.
Thriller was incredibly upset with the outcome of the play against Buffalo, went so far as to go to the closet or basement and find the paper sack to put over his head again. From where I sit, if I had a stashed bag somewhere, after the first half of that game, I would have changed my avatar also.
Just to go along with what I said, for our coaches to enter the half time locker room and bring as I have come to understand it, scathing remarks about the abysmal play for the most part concerning the leaders of the team. When Mark Richt walks off the field at halftime, being confronted as all coaches are by the media, says in no uncertain terms that he is not a happy camper, that not only gets my attention, it hits the airways and the voters start to line up, whether pro or con. That is not the Mark Richt that I have watched over the many years of his leadership.
When the Head Coach is unhappy, the Defensive Coordinator is unhappy and they let it be known, has a similar effect on the Red and Black Nation. Does not take much to tilt the cart and lose most of the apples that were collected before the lead Dawg expressed a very unusual view of a team that he coached.
I also agree with you on the point of carrying things too far. That will never stop as long as all of us have computers, and of course “opinions”.
What I did see was absolute concern on the part of the posters that were more than a bit "pp'd" about the lack of effort. I have concerns about AM and stats for example, hoping that I am wrong, but I said it. Great believer in team play, have always been that way and think most here are the same.
How good is Missouri . . . . Beats me. How much will the crowd noise come into play in this upcoming game . . . . Beats me. Just how good is our team that is ranked at #7, don’t know, we have not played anyone with talent across the board at this point. Much will be learned about Georgia football during and after the game with Missouri.
My suspicions are that we are going to see hitting and hard play that will equal or come close to some of our more physical games. This I like, as long as it is played by the rules. Will say again, my main worry is always the throwing of the cloth. I remember well AJ in the end zone against LSU, made me want to take the “paper bag” off of the official that made that call. Let the players play, the coaches coach.
Thanks for your remarks, I read everything that is posted here and am a proud member of this board. As you say yd1, we all slip, it hits some harder than others.
Sometime back think I posted that we would or could win by two touchdowns, no reason to change that, but as many on here have said, if we win by one, rack’em up, lets get ready for the next one.
Anyone that sees a Veteran when out enjoying Chic-Fil-A or your favorite sandwich, shake their hand, you will see the face of a True American light up. For them that is like winning the game.
Go Bless . . . . Go Dawgs! Russ, need this one badly . . .
Edit: Picked this up from the front page of our board.
