duck, it would be fair at times to lump me in with the "Richt Lovers". I DID love feeling like we were just one more year away from 1980 all over again. I think anyone could understand why people would be reluctant to let go of the coach who has brought us closer to 1980 than anyone since then. HOWEVER . . .
This is the last straw for me. Richt embarrassed me with the way he recruited IC, what with that empty backfield and all. Last year we lost the entire RB corps to drugs at one point in the season. "Everybody does it" is a cop out. Say that to me and you lose me. Richt has stayed in favor, even with ME, in PART because of the character that he professes to have. [That's right . . . PROFESSES to have . . . I'm not on a first name basis with him, is anyone on this board?]
Wartdawg nailed it. I don't know if he was quoting from the bible or not, but he DID, whether intentionally or not. 1st John 3:18 - basically, love not words, but truth and action. Richt has sent the words out there. He's even done more than I'll ever do, by doing missionary work abroad. But where are the RESULTS? If you are going to talk big talk, produce big results.
It's SHOW ME time.

2. How DO you fix this problem??? Just how DO you control this many players??? I guess you recruit Wake Forest's recruiting list....."catch-22"??
3. Many schools have these type problems.....geez, UF had a player shoot an AK47 through his apt wall, fortunately he didn't kill somebody...FSU, USC,UM...the list goes on
4. #1. above will do the right thing......

We all applauded his actions. We gloated over young Mr. Crowell. We looked anxiously toward the forthcoming season. Our featured running back had returned like the prodigal son. We anointed him #1 RB. Our future was the brightest it has been in some time.
Dateline: Athens, GA ; June 29, 2012. Isaiah Crowell Arrested on Gun Charges.
Well, Mr. Corwell, you have blown it. Coach Richt - No More Mr Nice Guy. I read on another board where others are saying we don't need another preacher in Athens, we need a football coach. Act like one and get rid of this thug before he ruins your - I mean OUR football team.

Other 3 were football players, but none charged. Hope it scared the spit out of them though. Hate to say it, but if there were "hangin'" with IC they are probably too. Such a waste of talent.

Let somebody else have him. Make it somebody in the SEC so that he's got to play against UGA. That way he'll have to think about it every time the "D" cleans his clock.
Like that idea growl!!!
