More analysis - Missouri

Our D wins this one. The offense comes out sluggish and timing is off. That is the way it has been the last few years anyhoo. Even with an easy game under our belt the O line will have its problems. IC sprains his toe and Marshall runs for big yards.

Think that you said a year or so back . . . . just win suits me. Think you also mentioned a 3 point win ogredawg in any situation is a win. A loss in the Show-Me-State would not be good for Players, Coaches or Fans and Alumni.

Just another thought here.

Go back and check out our losses from last year. In each of those games, AM either had less than a 60% completion percentage, or more than one turnover. Franklin looks similar.

This is one of those games that can rattle a QB. It'll be important for our D to get after Franklin early and often. I think he'll fold, but someone has to put some pads on him. Also, I think our "O" can hold the ball and keep Franklin and friends off the field.

Now I'm starting to see some similarities between this game and our bowl against Texas A&M a few years ago. We made some bad things happen to them early and the game completely got away from A&M.

For the first half of the game against Missouri, it would totally set me back on my heels if our defense does not come from a "look alike 4 man front". Grantham and his young pups are going to exhibit some schemes that all on the defensive side could not run before Grantham signed on in Athens.

Reading between the lines, everything that I can get my hands on and talking to a few folks that I know, these young pups (many say 10 to the NFL) are ready to play SEC Football like we have not seen before.

Here is hoping that over the next 70 or so days that these young men can come to understand that this is their "future" not "ours". Time passes quickly, use it wisely. :)

thriller...... one subtle thing to mention........their D is probably their weakness THEREFORE you might see our OL have better success in opening some holes and giving AM more time to throw. We all know that if AM has the time, he's very dangerous.

Mizzou's front isn't an LSU or MSU......even though our OL is somewhat inexperienced, they may be fine against Mizzou's front. Imo, this is a huge matchup area in this game that isn't being talked about.

duck, hope you are ready for this. I have read several articles where AM said that Mike Bobo's game plan was very good. AM said that it was not Mike Bobo's fault that he and others could not carry out the game plan. AM said that, going to hold him to that.

AM should be at this point an above average quarterback in the SEC. He was given the reigns sometime back and he still is in charge. The one thing that I would say to AM is this . . . . . ever thought about looking a defensive back off of the play called? (Understand that offensive line has a lot to do with that) Have heard much mentioned about "footwork". Like some have said, you don't seem to be able to throw the football from different levels. It has also been mentioned that you are "short" and have "nervous feet". Might be that Friend will help you with his ideas on how the offensive line should block and protect. One thought might be, throw the damn football away.

Do not want excuses from this group of players and coaches. S&C has changed, changed like extensively. Defense has changed . . . . Grantham and his group. Would like to see something different on the offensive side, especially with the talent that every recruiting service says we have. Anytime we are in the top 20, not necessarily the top 5, there should be results. That is if we believe in Stars*****.

AM, no excuses, you have talent galore on the side of the ball that you control. You cannot run as fast as IC or Marshall. You don't have the strength of a Hicks. Stop all of the excuses for Mike Bobo and yourself, let the young pups play the game. You and Mike Bobo have all eyes on you. You came to UGA to be the best. Show time. Why should this defense be the saviour of UGA Football?

Want to see the same coaching staff in place for your Senior Year? Don't think that I need to explain that to you. If you can't beat SS and Muschamp, how are you going to register in the NFL?

Comes down to COACHING in my mind, and you (AM) said that you have a great offensive coach. Again, SHOW TIME AM. Ball is definitely in your court, and YOU put it there.

Mike Bobo is responsible in a large part for other parts of the offense and that includes the OFFENSIVE LINE, or maybe I don't understand how college football works these days. Is Mike Bobo only a quarterback coach and play caller?

Just asking, really hoping that we see something "different" this season . . . . . meaning of course . . . . this is not the 1990's when Mike Bobo played, times and football change. :)

Edit: AM don't turn the ball over. Thanks . . . . :)
