Time to show these upstarts what southern football is all about.
Show them no mercy.
averagedawg, do believe that we are back to old fashioned kick butt football. Primarily I say that because of this . . . .
We have a defensive coordinator that "is all that". Todd Grantham not only understands the game, he "loves" the game. Smile Erk. . . .
Recently Chip Towers has more or less broken a pact that some of these beat writers hold each other to. Carvell is all about doing nothing and getting paid. Hoping that Chip has had enough and continues to bring "REAL JOURNALISM" to the different blogs. In the link below Chip makes a half hearted attempt to pat Carvell on the back . . . . whatever Chip, be true to your trade.
I have every reason at this point to believe that the offense can only get better. Do not care how many points folks point to in the past few seasons that we have scored. AM has to get his butt in gear, makes a lot of plays, has a lot of talent, comes down to this . . . . AM has to LEAD this group of players with his actions, not with "lip service". AM as the leader on the offensive side has more talent than 95% of the teams in the SEC. He has to take care of business. Feel sure that Jarvis Jones and Todd Grantham will handle the other side. Yes, I intentionally left Mike Bobo out of the blog.
Great read Chip Towers . . . get that yoke off of your neck and be all that you can be.

Edit: Went back and watched the 2007 Tennessee game. Amazing watching a WM defense come apart at the seams. Understand from some of the comments made on this board and others that we came apart against Michigan State. Take a few minutes and watch some young men totally lost in WM's system, and this was supposedly a very good defense.
Three years under a "true professional" and 99% of the talk in college football is about CTG and his defense. Not to beat up the other half of "our" football team, would however like to see folks talking about the improvement on the offensive side of the ball.
