2012 Schedule -- Feed Back

Beginning to move over to the side of defensive backs on the what if. No doubt in my mind that Tennessee will be throwing the football all over the field. If I had to put a percentage on UT running and throwing, 80/20.

Missouri has a big strong quarterback, with an arm and legs. Top receiver in the country (rival and others rated) 6-6 220 pounds. Makes me think of folks like a certain receiver that now plays for the Falcons, came through the Alabama system. Missouri scares me. They scare me because I am not sure where we will be with Lakatos' bunch. Don't get me wrong, I think Lakatos is SPECIAL. Mean that. Wish this game was a bit further down the schedule.

I am with wlayton on the healing process of Lattimore. Guess the only place I could disagree with wlayton would be along these lines, and he did leave that open. Lattimore is not your average run of the mill young man coming out of high school, as we soon found out. He is probably one of those "fast healers". If you played the game, you know that some get there quicker than others.

As much as I dislike SS and his antics, he as TN Dawg says, hates UGA. Anyone that does not believe that SS wants to kick UGA's butt three years in a row . . . . you are not listening. That would mean so much to his program, recruiting wise. That is the one game that SS really and truly wants to win in 2012. Would love to walk out of Columbia with a "W", that will however be a tough row to hoe. Coaches better be on their collective toes that day.

Florida. Maybe some don't look into stats as much as I do. We (UGA) ended up 5th in the nation in overall defense in 2011. Florida ended up 8th in the country in 2011, easily overlooked with their win/loss record. Take this for what it is worth, Florida will be deeper this season and they have the same outlook that SS does when it comes to playing UGA. That is a must game for them. Bragging rights, which lead to recruiting results.

Will stop with that, but can say more. I am not one that believes that our schedule allows us to take breaks. I am truly proud that all of the returning players that chose to stay, stayed. We need them and we also need them to play at a higher level than they did last year. SS wants to win the East. Alabama, LSU and Arkansas want to win the West.

Folks, this is not going to be a cake walk. We do have the talent in Athens and I hope that both sides of the ball are ready for 2012 is going to bring. Can we win all of the games, yes, will we, can't say. Look forward to watching the lastest edition of the Georgia Bulldogs playing football in the SEC.

Go Dawgs, coach'em up. . . . :)

You're right Buc that some people heal faster than others but even ML possibly being above average in the healing dept, he tore that knee up pretty badly.....hard for me to believe he will be any more than 85% of himself. That alone could still be a 100 yard game.....just don't believe his knee will be able to handle him carrying USC on his shoulders. I'm telling ya'll though, watch out for Connor Shaw, he's going to be really good in 2012.

UF's D will be great and will have better recruits on the field overall than last year BUT.....imo, they don't have a QB and only one WR.

Lattimore at 85% scares the heck out of me. At 85% he is still above the rim when it comes to running backs. His success will be much like UGA's success . . . . depends on that offensive line.

Matt Jones, 6'3"/225. Really wanted Matt to attend UGA, we were close, kind of like dancing and horse shoes. If you have watched Brandon Jacobs of the New York Giants run, Matt is the same type back with more speed. Also can be compared to Lattimore when talking strength. Florida picked up a winner from the Tampa area in Matt. Muschamp also brought Brent Pease in from Boise State, he understands offensive football, pro style. Reason for concern. Just saying . . .

Seeing what Fla did in hiring a new OC shows that they want to win. Some teams are doing thing to make their program better and to get back to where they once were. With the talent that Fla has, and with a proven OC, they will be hard for us to beat.

We all know that SS at USC is a good OC mind, and he make lessor players give 110%, With our vanilla offence, will be hard for our D to stay on the field 4 quarters to win this game. With USC D and as Wlayton said about Conner Shaw, they will score and we will revert to FG's if we get that close.

I said months ago, worried about the Misu game, they have a good offence, not sure about there D, we could just out score them, not sure. My fear is like some others have said, we start out so slow the first few games.

I beleve Tenn and Auburn will be better. While I believe our D will be better, I just do not see our offence doing anything different that the past 5 or 6 years, I just do not see our D being able to win every game for us, and for that, I feel we lose 3 to 4 games this year.

The only plus to that, is that we may finally be able to get rid of BoBO and his vanilla play calling, for if we do lose 3 to 4 games this year with the so called easy schedule and things don't change, then we will be in for some disappointments in the up comming seasons.

duck, here is one rating for UGA Football 2012. ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

5. Georgia Bulldogs
Previous rank: 6
Georgia has to run the ball more effectively and learn how to finish games, but there might not be a more inviting schedule in 2012 than the one the Bulldogs will face. Georgia is expected to bring back 10 starters from a much-improved defense, including All-American linebacker Jarvis Jones and safety Bacarri Rambo. Incoming freshmen Josh Harvey-Clemons, Jonathan Taylor and John Atkins might provide some immediate help. Quarterback Aaron Murray and receiver Malcolm Mitchell are coming back, and UGA signed two highly regarded tailbacks -- Keith Marshall (already enrolled at UGA) and Todd Gurley -- to push sophomore Isaiah Crowell. Georgia doesn't play SEC West favorites Alabama, Arkansas and LSU during the regular season and plays four of its first five games at home.

We won't ever have an easier schedule than this.
However, given our propensity to slip up against less talented teams, I'm not on the 'think we win them all bandwagon."
It's strange to see the Tn game in Sept, the SC game in Oct.
Johnson's departure as DC at SC will hurt the Gamecocks.
Dooley's seat is on fire. The Tennessee game worries me.
