Special Teams, No Excuses

I’ve changed my tune for 2012.

Win. Win at all costs. Do whatever it takes to win. It pays to always be a winner. Winning isn’t everything . . . it’s the ONLY thing. Winners never quit, quitters never win, and those who never win and never quit will never quit losing. Second place is just first loser. Win or go home. If you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t tryin’, and in the SEC you also ain’t winnin’. Duh – WINNING.

So there it is. Abuurn cheated in 2010 and won a national championship, and didn’t get caught, and nobody can ever take the fun away from them now. USC won in 2004 and cheated and got caught, and nobody can ever take the fun away from them now.

I want the SEC Championship, and I want it now. I want the National Championship, and I want it now. No compromises, no second place finishes, no cryin’ in Division 1 Football, and no excuses. No crystal ball next January, no more Coach Richt. Period. No more explanation needed.

I said that.

Correct, Dawg With Style. But there is no next year. This year IS next year. And the year after that, and the year after that. Win NOW, or lose JOB. I don't care who the offensive coordinator is. It can be Bobo, it can be Mike Leach, it can be the mail man or somebody's sister. As long as we win it ALL this year, it's all good. Anything else is ALL bad. Personality makes no difference. Moral turpitude makes no difference. Level playing field or not. One thing counts. Very simple.

We have the talent but Richt will not do like Saban I wish he would but he is not that kind of man Saban wins at all cost he could care less who gets used or abused.I think Richt contract should depend upon next season no if ans or buts.

If we do all we can do, and don't get all that we wanted, understandable. Say again, the thing that bothers me the most is our schedule. BCS computer ratings and that sort of thing. Again, do all we can do and if we do that, should be a damn impressive year of football in Athens and a lot of growth on the depth side of the chart. Never forget the depth thingy, that has been our downfall in Athens. One man's opinion of course.
