Yeah... ^^^^^^^^^ that.

He will do good work at Abuurn.

As far as how much more difficult this makes things for Richt and company... I don't
really care. Let Richt and Bobo face the toughest competition possible... they will
either prove themselves worthy...

..or not.

If the competition is better, then it's better. Such is life.

sadlerdawg, just feel like sometimes the "owners" don't understand that they are not coaches. I go back to the Falcons when they started in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. At that time Rankin Smith caused many problems not really understanding football and was tight fisted.

Now Arthur Smith is the owner and he reminds me so much of Jerry Jones. Both like the flash, but they are not coaches. Egos seem to blind those that have aspirations of being big time football men. All of us love Herschel Walker, but Jimmy Johnson was smart enough to make a trade with the Minnesota Vikings to turn the fortunes around for Jones and the Cowboys. Johnson gone, check the upheavels in Dallas and those around the USA that support that franchise. Money does not a coach make. Same thing going on in Tampa Bay.

New England Patriots have a huge money man, but he is smart enough to let a real football coach run that operation for him and make "his" investment worth a buck or two. Same coach that Cleveland ran out of town by a supposed student of the game.

Think that BVG realized that once the players land the contracts, can't be handled like college players. Chizik needed help and needed it fast in Abuurn. One thing that Chizik will find out quickly . . . BVG will not allow interference in his area of expertise. Note in BVG's resume on some sites does not mention South Carolina and Spurrier. Short lived friendship. Like I said, Chizik better find a different pathway around BVG, and he will.

Your point is well taken and very much factual about the difference in college and pro coaching sadlerdawg.

I think he jumped ship before they made him walk the plank with some others. The pros are a little quicker at making a move in most instances, and Arthur wasnt happy yesterday. The OC is already interviewing with Jax and ST Louis, so he's probably gone also. Hope we got a real good hold on CTG!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is true regarding BVG... he saw the writing on the wall.

In other news.... Did Buc just say Arthur Blank reminded him of Jerry Jones?????? and ?

Arthur for some reason thinks that he should run with the big "Dawgs". He has had that attitude for some time now. Jerry Jones also thought and still does think that he should be more than he is, when running the game in Dallas. Think I mentioned something, somewhere about egos. Both have them, Arthur however has to push wheel chairs and the like to get national attention. Jerry gets attention in a different way, face lifts etc. Arthur is trying to get there, one short example of that . . . trying to get tax payers to build him a new stadium . . . haven't heard much about that recently. Jerry got one and Arthur wants one and still has not broken ground. Meanwhile, Jones is on to his next project and as soon as Blank finds out what it is, he will move in that direction.
