1. Dropped passes/ints kept us from padding our lead in the first half.
2. Special teams broke down and allowed LSU to get back in the game and build momentum.
3. We fumbled the ball fairly deep in our territory, and gave LSU a short field to work with, and our defense lost their swagger, especially after Hilliard began carrying the ball down after down.
If we had been up 28 points or even just 21 at the half, it might have been a different story.
This game is gonna be close, and will be decided by turnovers or special teams play.
OoltewahDawg, good post. From where I sit, LSU is just a damn good football team. Someone, somehow is going to figure out how to make things work. Appears to me that the players really enjoy playing for Miles. That means a lot.
Guess I have to ask you what the final score might be, or, just a winning point difference. Seems the book is still around 3, 3 1/2 points.
Turnovers always come into play, outside of that, our special teams need to "hook up". Do not believe that MSU can consistently drive the ball 80 yards against the Grantham defense. Might put one good drive together early, that is when the Dawgs figure out what the game plan is.
What say you . . . .
Edit: Guess that turnovers and special team play is what did UGA in against LSU.
