Your opinion, wlayton. I think AD5 is extremely smart and a good poster, but in my opinion, not necessarily the smartest or most logical. We have disagreed on many occasions, you and I, and it usually makes for good discussion, however, I have felt many times that you are dismissing my opinions because they don't jibe with yours. You've never openly stated that, but as you alluded to Buc earlier, I have caught the "subtle" implication.
You have posted on MANY occasions your thoughts about our sub par O-line, many times that you think AD5 is the most logical, many times that everyone should give Richt a chance over the season. Yet when folks talk about their displeasure with Richt, or our offense, whatever, you have responded on more than one occasion that we shouldn't post like that (kind of dismissive) because it's redundant and beating a dead horse. Hello, pot, my name's kettle, have we met???
And I also read posts of yours that everyone should remain positive about things. You say you do, and that's the reason for your success. and that's what works for you, but not everybody thinks that way.
And continued references to you and your island over the last few months only furthers the belief that you only want to associate with like minded individuals. Don't know if that's true or not, but that's the impression I get.
Not trying to pile on you, wlayton, just been following from the background for a few days, and offering up my take on a few questions you have posed. May not mean anything to you, maybe it does. Certainly not trying to offend anyone, just how I've seen things over a couple of months.

If I have said it once, have said it many, many times. sadlerdawg is the voice of reason. Speaks for himself, not for others, nor does he try to persuade others to join forces with him. Sounds a bit like some of that hard earned Military Training.

But I don't see how anyone can make comments about someone and then say:

1. "you've never openly stated that"
2. "don't know if that's true or not"

If I simply don't answer, do you automatically assume I think a certain way?....is that really fair to judge me like that? You are assuming WITHOUT fact. Not fair to me my friend.

Also, you state that I feel AD5 is the smartest and most logical because I tend to agree with him?? Geez......doesn't everybody on this forum (and in life) tend to agree with people that share their opinions? You agree with Buc all the time......averagedawg etc, and that's perfectly ok.....ya'll share military heritage together and it is totally understandable. Most people migrate to people that think the same way......that's not a REVELATION......

Another small point......it wasn't MY island......I seem to remember (I don't have a great memory) that early in the season, the disbelievers in CMR actually put the rose colored glasses believers out on an island. We didn't separate as fans, we were separated by the non-believers (all in fun of course, nothing malicious).

As far as the "island" goes, noticed that you have left that alone in you last several posts.

Don't play games, that is your doing . . . . "island thingy". Seems I remember averagedawg posting in one of your threads or posts and he said I prefer the mountains. You jumped quickly and said something to the effect that the "islanders" can now enjoy the mountains. Paraphrasing here, hope that got through. What??

Calm down, you can only be right when . . . . you are right. Everyone else that you choose to bring into the post will not help you prove a point. Ever ask AD5 if he approves of the "island". Just a suggestion.

Edit: I would never say that someone thinks like I do to make a point, would try to make that point on my own. This is not gang tackling as you seem to suggest when using sadlerdawg and averagedawg. Would much prefer that you don't bring the Military into this little squabble. Band of Brothers in the Military, much to be said for that. Board of discussion about a football team or disagreements concerning a football team, does not apply when you bring up Military. Suggest that you are off limits with that kind of talk.

Ok, wlayton, not sure why I'm responding to this, because you won't see the forest for the trees, but anyhow--
By saying you never stated that or don't know if that's true or not, I was saying I could feel your subtle implications. Some things don't have to be stated to get a point across.
Not saying there's anything wrong with you agreeing with AD5. I just said that you have stated that he is your favorite MANY times. Everybody knows how you feel about him. I was just saying you post certain things quite a bit, but then get on other members for being redundant.
And my point about the island wasn't who created it--I don't remember and I don't care. My point is that you constantly brought it up over and over (redundant) when it was obvious to everyone that it was doing nothing more than dividing folks on the board.
I don't speak for anyone else, but I doubt I'm the only one who has noticed these things.

Everyone on the forum is redundant at some time. You don't think you are?.....Buc?....many others? Yes, yes and yes. It's natural because people want to emphasize their points.

You said you didn't know why you were responding....my thoughts were, why did you step in at all?

I frankly don't even understand what the argument is about. Now I truly understand AD5.
