A perfect fit for a school and a coach I despise.
averagedawg, I have had several thoughts on what brought this change on so quickly after Urban's sickness.
It was not like Ohio State did not know more than a year ago that there were problems with players and cars and tats and more. While we will never truthfully know at what point Urban knew when he was going to take over the job at Ohio State, if I was a betting man he knew way back when. Remember this, in the State of Florida now his accepted title is Urban Myer the Liar.
If there is one thing that all college folks should accept it is the fact that the powers at Ohio State do not lie. Urban Meyer follows that line . . . . supposedly. The NCAA will accept it and give Ohio State and Urban a wink and move on.
Urban while being with ESPN, had meetings with coaches and football players that all coaches are not allowed to have. That alone gives Urban and Ohio State a huge advantage.
Reminds me of our representatives in Washington. Senators and Representatives know where that road is going to be cut and other financial things to get involved in prior to the public knowing. In the stock market that is a no no. Makes one wonder why the elected individuals spend millions for a job that pays crumbs. . . . .right?
Urban Meyer, 7 years, 40 million. They made that deal rather quickly . . . right?

Doesn't matter, OSU still can't beat a SEC team.
I would venture to say Muschamp and Dooley are both on a short track out.

In a situation where he plays the SEC only once rather than the required number of games each year when coaching in the SEC. Once for the National Championship, because the media will insist on Ohio State being there.
I wonder if such a cush job even qualifies as full time employment? I wouldn't want him to be without health coverage for himself and that family he loves so much.

When we look at where most of the top college prospects come from, does not leave a lot of guessing room. Urban Meyer thinks he is now situated real well in Florida. Wonder how many of the prospects he is aware of coming from the State of Florida this year that Muschamp and company want?
All of us or most of us know where we stand with the gators. I however don't appreciate the false front that Meyer has put out there for the media to toss cudos at. However, when looking at ESPN and others, lots of Buckeyes holding jobs with ESPN.com.
The link below gives a pretty good picture as to where the players are.
