Cannot disagree with anything you said bulldawg36869. Believe more than once that the talent has been on campus to reach higher levels. One of the reasons for the last two years I have said in many of my posts . . . coach 'em up. The face of the UGA football team changed when McGarity and Grantham arrived to bail out an ailing coaching staff. That is a fact.

Ok, so everyone on this board has had nothing but "up years", year after year after year at their work? FALSE.........so, if you had a few good years for your company and then had a couple of down years, did you give money back to your company? NO. That was a stupid statement for CMR to give back money from last year. Nobody's perfect.

Agree with MH and DnLA. Program is rocking on the recruitment side of things, certainly don't want to hurt that in any way.

Bottom line......give credit where credit is do (ok not Bobo)....the coaching staff has done a great job of instilling confidence, a no quitting attitude, work hard, play as a team etc etc....great job of turning things around and I don't care who we've played.

Mary Ann and Ginger are what in thier 70's now :laugh: Not saying CMR should give back any money......just agreeing that maybe the extension should wait 1 more year......if anyone should get an extension it is CTG and a loooonnnnnggg one too......

Didn't expect Richt to give money back..it was a metaphor. My point is that he received no "punishment" if you will for a horrible year yet people are wanting to hand him an extension for beating a bunch of sub-par teams this year...prove the progarm is on the uprise and then give him extension and raise.

CMR probably could care less about a raise or an extension right now.

Punishment?.....how about eventually getting fired if you don't turn things around!

I'm not even going to say Richt wouldn't deserve an extension after the season is over.

I just don't think beating any one team or a couple of individual teams should be the reason.

Tech should give an extension to anyone capable of beating UGA. That's because they are Tech.

UGA should not give an extension to anyone for beating someone like Florida once out of every
4 years. At least splitting evenly with them is an honest expectation, and once in a while is not something deserving of being handed the keys to the city.

I do understand though it wasn't a serious comment. I've just noticed many people in Bulldog
nation are ecstatic over the fact that we are just meeting reasonable expectations. It's
nothing above and beyond that. Beating Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn when the best of the
bunch has something like a 6-4 record isn't in and of itself something warranting becoming
overly giddy.

It's a bit overly exciting because of how bad the past couple of seasons have been.
