Wow...just wow.

Just getting back in with my wife from our anniversary in Las Vegas. The only think I can think to say about Saturday is "WOW"...just wow. I took my tried and true approach of going into the game "cautiously optimistic" but deep down was expecting a win. I did not, however, expect to see what I saw on Saturday. I was lucky enough to have the "missus" park at a slot machine for about 4 hours which bought me a pass to the sportsbar at the Luxor.

I'm sure people there thought "stupid, crazy redneck" because I definitely hooted and hollered by myself in the middle of the bar for the entire first half. Not sure if it was my Oscar-worthy performance of "drunken Bulldawg fan in Vegas" or the performance on the field that drew more supporters into the fray, (I'd like to think a little of both) but by kick off of the 2nd half, we had a pretty good crowd screaming GOOOOOO DAWGS!!!

By far the most impressive, TEAM-driven win I've seen by the bulldawgs in several years. Excellent execution in all three phases. Yes there were some hiccups ( a few "freshman fumbles" come to mind) but we got to witness what championship-caliber teams do, they pick each other up and keep going. Junkyard defense, way to completely limit the damage done by the fumbles and keep your foot on the pedal.

Focus and determination in practice this week dawgs. Let's suit up and come out ready for business against Kentucky. Our goals are within our reach fellas!!!

Congratulations on the anniversary. You sly Dawg, got the better half to hit the slots and you catch a UGA football game. Probably went to the window and collected all of that cash that you won on the 12/13 point spread. Heck of a win Mike. . . . Folks on the Plains are getting hot with Chizik about letting someone else run the defense. Sound familiar?

Thanks for the congrats guys. Wlayton, the better half's been with me long enough to know that when I'm serious about watching a game, there's good reason for it and it's just better to let me watch than to put up with me later if I don't! The nice thing is, as long as you keep a glass of wine in her hand, she's pretty happy. The even nicer thing is, as long as your parked at a slot machine in Vegas, the wines keep magically showing up and you don't even have to pay for em!!

Buc, unfortunately any winnings I had were given right back to the sports bar via Miller Lite's. Stinks that the missus got free drinks for playing the slots, but I couldn't get free beers for watching their TV's !

The bags have been unpacked from the anniversary weekend and repacked with t-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops. I'm so close, I can practically feel the ocean breeze on my face. Save me a low-boy beach chair...me and my case of 24 ice cold "kool-aids" are waiting in the landing zone for the "S.S. Wait Til the Season's Over" to ferry us back over to the island...a big aloha to my fellow inhabitants...should be a good week of celebration!
