averagedawg, you are right about that . . . in the Iron Bowl, I choose 'Bama every time. I'm not a 'Bama fan, but at least they don't have any urnge in their school colors!

gillette, we can never start our pups too young. Like to hear about fathers (parents) caring enough to spend time with their children. We are granted many things on this earth, the most or one of the most precious happenings in our lives are the sons and daughters. Good on you gillette. :) :) :)

My family just didn't put much importance on the UGA tradition. There's a lot I don't know and your stories are very important. I just took my 5 year old to his 4th game and he's hooked. He ddin't want to leave until the middle of the 4th only because of hunger and a call from nature. He hummed the tune "GOOOO Georgia Bulldogs" all the way home. He locks in like a dawg on a bone when Munson delivers his magic on the big screen in Sanford stadium. He LOVES it. I just hope the memories are planted forever in his mind like yours are of your childhood.

It's because of you and the other "Ol'Dawgs" here, I spend a lot time on this site. Keep them coming.

I absolutely love taking my kids to games. They get so excited. Due to prior commitments, my wife and son are not able to attend the Auburn game. My daughter who is 10 is going though. She has asked me every week since since she found out it was only me and her going about the game. I don't think she will be able to make it another week. Today is Tuesday and she is already packed!

TN Dawg, good on you also.

Don't know if you folks have read the article in the link below. Take a couple of minutes, goes to show there is still good in this world and UGA is definitely part of it.

The best week of the year is here. It's Auburn-Georgia. Sure the Iron Bowl is a million times more important, but when the football gods invented the sport, they had to be thinking about a cool fall afternoon in north Georgia where two like-programs try to get the best of the other.

You bring back a lot of memories. I only have recent history, but have been told of the past battles. I posted in the "Control of our destiny" thread #20 about some of my thoughts. We seem to be on the same wave length.

Did read that post, good "stuff". Hoping that the weather is good so the track is fast. Have a feeling that this might be the "break-out game" for IC. If I had to scheme for this UGA offense, with all members back and healthy, believe it would be a tough task. Hope we keep our hands on the ball and play like this if for the National Championship.

Believe that Friend has gotten a grip on this offensive line and with good play calling, think the big'uns will move their defensive line back a ways.

Do want to say this . . . was really impressed with Conley last week. Young man is a gamer. :)
