No, I don't, but there is somebody to answer to and somebody with a "grand design" so to speak. We have an OC that has coaches who report to him, a DC that has coaches who report to him, why should the ST be deemed so unimportant as to not follow that same model? How would our D work if we just had the defensive coaches and no coordinator? How would the O work with....well, that one's a bad example.
Certainly don't disagree, that's for sure. I've heard that it hasn't been so much of a coaching problem but more of some of the players have been "freelancing" on the field at times, out of their lanes etc etc and have gotten burned. Believe they are going to change personel on the field....ie, they will be playing more starters with more experience rather than using freshman etc. Last kickoff against UF you saw Tree and Williams on the field.
May be incorrect but when I think of a good ST's team, I automatically think of VT.....they don't have a specified ST coordinator, Beamer oversees the coaches running it.
Bottom line though, I'm with you .....something has got to be done.....geez, it's not rocket science so believe the answer will come with stronger personel in the game.....that's what VT, UF and other good ST's do.
