Can see some improvement for sure but has a long way to go to be a dominating OL like a BAMA or LSU......Friend seems to be getting it together a little better for sure. (geez, couldn't have gotten much worse, huh?)

Next season there will be several "wars" among the folks in Athens that want to play on game day in the SEC. One only has to check the roster, the incoming players and the redshirts. Losing some folks, that however is SEC football. Re-load, not re-build, that is the position that Alabama takes every year.

Means a lot to have that playing time under one's belt, however sometimes a jewel is found when and where it was least expected to turn up.

The only way that I know how to put it is something like this . . . . we appear to have some coaches stepping up and doing their jobs. That has been a missing link for far too long in Athens. Players play, coaches have to coach if they want the players to play. Really simple. Like it or not folks, Saban is on top for that reason alone.

Goose great post...

Been reading a lot this week, been busy and not able to add anything to our beloved forum...

wlayton, the attitude on the team is a lot better... The team always had a look as if they thought they were going to win the game, if it's kool-aid give them more.

Give the Kickers double... They need something done with their minds. Their minds are way off right now.

Buc, if we get most of the lineman we are recruiting right now, the line will be in good shape this time next year. Definitely saw a team with more energy in the 4th quarter this week.

GO DAWGS!!!!:woohoo:

WoodstockDawg, wonder how much JTII had to do with the power blocking I witnessed in JAX. They were squeezing their tackles in real tight, and the O line handled them. Been a while since I have seen that kind of "attitude" from the "Big Guys".

If you need kool aid to get behind the Dawgs I guess I would have to say its better than gaytorade. I for one dont care if we win every game(this year) ugly as long as we win. And, if we get to the SEC Championship game,I dont care if they ugly that up as long as we come out with one more point than them. What a ridiculous thing to say that someone would wish for our team to get to that game just so they could stink up the place to get rid of a coach. Buc thats terrible news about RS. GATA!!!!!!!!!

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day

Buc, I don't know what happened with our Oline, but something did happen. I always watch the trenches
closely. I know it's not glamorous, but it was the 2.5 ton truck that won WW2.. not the P-51 Mustang.

Earlier this season I saw some guys on the O-line not maintaining their blocks, not finishing, not
making it out to the 2nd level.

This week there was one RS play I saw that made me stand up. It wasn't RS demonstrating his quick
step or his cutback. It was the play by one of our O-linemen. He did his job against the D-lineman
opposite him as he turned him to the outside. He then came up on the second level and popped their
middle LB keeping him from getting in on the play, and then he turned and popped the OLB trying to
close the hole from the other side. As Sam IV went by, he was still driving on his 3rd block of
the play and was still shoving on him when the whistle blew.

THAT my friends is how an O-lineman is supposed to play.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
