My Thoughts on Florida

Had a couple of weeks now to decide what might turn out to be the game changer for both sides.

Going with a line from Wartdawg . . . I hope our ST will play well enough to avoid blowing it for the D & O.

At this juncture, totally on board with that statement. Will not be surprised to see some of our "Big Guns" on special teams. Play to win the game, use whatever we have at wherever it needs to be. This is JAX and the gators. Might be that Butler is the star in this contest.

SEC football has long been a field position game. Some conferences either never played the game that way or finished toward the bottom of their respective conferences. Just having a little fun, SEC football however has been a game of making the opposition travel long distances. Good point yankeedawg1. Here is hoping that "Georgia" gets hugs and special treats . . .

P.S. No reason to leave anything in the weight room, practice field or in JAX. Play hard young pups.

Hey Yall, Ive been down here in Fla for over a week now. And WE MUST WIN!!!!! This Team needs an idenity and a win today will go along way IMO on that. Its make or Break time!!! I think we win this thing by 10. Have had a blast this week but LETS GOOO DAWGSSS!!!!!

IMO, this one comes down to who makes the least mistakes. I'm w/walyton, we play turnover free ball, we win. If not, I have serious doubts because I really don't think we're much better than Florida, if at all. Think we're gonna miss MM alot but like Buc said, time for some other ball catchers to step it up-can't use the injury excuse when it's a TRUE Freshman. Also, as mentioned, IC could make a major splash if he runs wild in Jax. Anyways, I though Stanger's page 4 post was spot on. Even if many of us want a new CEO, this game is HUGE for both programs. We win, we likely win a recruiting war or two over the Gators for 2012 & 2013. We lose, well more of the same criticism: AM indeed has YET to beat a winning team, the DAWGS are a has been in the SEC, FL OWNS UGA, Richt is done etc., etc. really don't want to think about it.

All that aside, I know the effort will be there today, I know the passion will be there today, I just don't know about the coaching & the execution. 15 min. to game time & we'll all know either a tremendous jubilation or that all too familar feeling of despair.

Bottom line: It's time to strap on the chin straps, it's time to bark like a mad dog, it's time for revenge, it's time to destory anything wearing orange, it's time to hunker down...It's time for the Cocktail Party!
