Brantley will start, but the adrenalin will wear off quickly...he won't make it out of the first quarter. His games before getting hurt were FAU, UAB, TN, and KY...he hasn't seen a defense with our combo of size/speed yet.
Even if he is fully recovered from the ankle, he'll have some rust on him...any lack of decision-making and/or hesitancy on his part and Jarvis, Cornelius, Tree, etc will smell blood in the water and have him running for his life.
In my opinion, it makes no difference who the QB is...if we keep their speedy playmakers from getting to the outside and don't fall for the big/trick plays on special teams, we should have a pretty good game.
This game will be won or lost on the 6-inch playing field between the players ears. For either team it's gonna come down to defense and further than that, it's gonna come down to the discipline on defense. Both sides will be completely jacked up...the defense that plays smart, maintains assignments/lanes, and keeps the play in front of them will win...hope I'm not being too optimistic, but my money's on Grantham.
