In order for them to drop... they have to be there.

I have just about quit watching professional football, never thought that would happen, love football. It has gotten so tangled with rules and the powers running the game, it is no longer what I would term football.

Take this rule for example. Horsecollar is being called way too often, and many of the calls that I have seen are not horsecollars. Easily viewed in my special football chair, wire me up, I will make a call and make it quick, and correctly.

Must remember too, especially in pro football, there have to be x number of calls made so the stations can have breakaways for the money making portion. FACT. As has been said by millions, a flag could be thrown on every play. Yeppers. College is not there yet, fast approaching though.

As far as the center for Vandy, know that he is looking forward to seeing Kwame and Jenkins looking straight into his faceguard in Athens next year. Too much has been said about this game for any of the participants forgetting what happened in 2011 in Nashville. Would make a wonderful homecoming game . . . . . . again. :)

Will be interesting to see how the Vanderbilt recruiting year of 2012 ends. That is what Franklin is all about. Can I blame him, guess not, my head coach didn't. Must follow the leader.

That was certainly a dirty hit. The ball carrier was already well out of bounds. Dirty players get what is coming to them.

I am insensitive also. Just putting that out there.

Will say this. Time for all of these college coaches to quit running on the field of play when the game is still underway. Was a time in football that this was not allowed to occur. This is the sort of thing that allows games to get out of hand.

Next game in JAX, think that Muschamp won't be all over the field? What folks like Muschamp are doing is firing up his young warriors even further. When I played, always, always had butterflies in my stomach before a game. Couple of good licks and there were not any butterflies to be found. Time to invest in what was going on.

I watched Woody Hayes of Ohio State really lose it against Clemson. If that was to occur this day and time, there would not be enough law enforcement available to stop what would happen on the football field, and probably in the stands. Pros are already there, getting too nasty to go to a game without watching your back.

Slive is Slive.

out for the first half against the gaytors

Robert Geathers Sr., the father of Georgia sophomore noseguard Kwame Geathers, is upset that his son was assessed a two-quarter suspension in the Florida game after being the victim of what he thought was a dangerous, defenseless hit in the Vanderbilt game this past weekend.

Neither Georgia nor the SEC office has made any announcements yet regarding discipline dispensed in the wake of this past Saturday’s emotional game in Nashville. Both the game and a brief skirmish between coaches and players immediately afterward is currently being reviewed by the SEC. But Mr. Geathers indicated his son already has been informed he’ll have to sit out the first half of the Bulldogs’ next game. And that bothers him.

Yeah... nice.

We lose a big player for half of our game against Florida in the midst of us trying to win the
SEC east.

The cheap shot artist who gave the thumbs up sign after trying to take out the knees of our player as
a play ends gets to sit out half a game against Army in the midst of their awesome yet probably
doomed to fail quest to make it to the BBVA Compass bowl.
