Our OL
1. players were average recruits out of HS
2. players are still average at best today
3. slow and obviously not very strong.....330 lbs being pushed around by 280 lbs.
4. imo, you are either nasty or you're not (your on field personality)....it's not a learned behavior
5. no depth, stamina a big problem

I hear that Theus is nasty. He should be able to start day 1, but a true frosh concerns me; I would start him, amybe find one nasty JUCO to plusg in, then with the rest of the young ones, we should be ok.

I agree completely.. you don't learn it. You've either got it or you don't. You can be big in
high school and get by quite well with it. In the SEC, you gots to be nasty on the O-line.
I mean the kind of nasty where people ask "what's wrong with that dude?"
Junkyard Dawg nasty. An inherent attitude that drives you to drive others.. about 14 inches deep
in the sod.

I think they call those blocks "pancake blocks". Knock the dude totally off his feet and onto his back! It is very hard for a defensive player to tackle a ball carrier lying on his back. Funny though, I don't hear about those kind of blocks anymore.
Our O-line has shown moments of promise. There were several plays against TN where I saw our guys firing off the line and putting hits on LBs and DBs. They are improving each game. I hope they play with more consistency.

Watched a video that Buc placed on here one time. Theus head butted a defensive lineman when smack talk started. It was actually that video of Dawg Night showing the offensive line, defensive ends, and some LBs. Great vid buc.
