Read just about everything out there about Tennessee and Georgia, nothing really new, just another SEC football game with somewhere around 102,000 folks in the checkerboard seats singing Rocky Top. All night long, unless this group of Bulldogs came to play, then Rocky Top becomes a bit flat.
If anyone tries to tell me that one receiver, one quarterback, an offensive line that should not be better than ours can beat us . . . . Guess something is wrong in my calculations. We should beat Tennessee by at least a touchdown. Been around this game for a couple of years, don’t really need to hear about crowd noise and home field advantage.
Over the past few years we have had better recruiting classes, changed some coaches, things are different. The only way that this game is close is if we (UGA) drop the balls thrown, or fumble. Insert interceptions here if you like. Our talent is better, a lot better, so there should not be excuses.
If Walsh cannot put the ball between the uprights, might want to try something different. Different meaning, we have a kicker that is on scholarship from California that might have his foot pointed in the right direction. That is guessing that we go for field goals and not the other “stuff”.
Butler will punt the ball lights out in Tennessee, his kind of game, just like his father, loves being on stage. On stage and has the “stuff” to do his job. Along with that, we regain our special teams. This is showtime men.
As a UGA fan, will never accept what happened there in, think it was 2007. If this team goes into Knoxville and goes through that again, might have to talk about and discuss things that I have not said on this board. There will never be an excuse for lack of effort. This team is better than the 2007 team, my opinion.
Truly believe that this is the game that Isaiah Crowell can get those spurs on his boots. Much like another young man did some time back. Need only ask Munson about that statement.
Prediction from me . . . . The offensive line is going to come out of this SEC battle with bloody mouths and smiles on their faces. We win by 14.
Go Dawgs!!
