I was watching some of the CMR press conf on CSS, CMR was giving his acessment of SC said that they have talent on off and def and rotate 4 almost every other down. Now you tell me how in the H that someplace like SC can have talent enough to rotate 4 on off and def everyother play and we have noone good enough to come in as sub unless someone get hurt. If this does not prove we have no coaches, then I give up. SC has better coaches than we do and they teach them how to block and play football.

My question is why is it that every year our biggest question mark is offensive line? Why no depth at oline? Why such a huge drop off after 1st string? Why are we constantly moving defensive linemen to oline or just having to create a makeshift line to compete in the SEC?

Or, why were our best offensive players in the Boise State game recruited to play defense. Just a confused group of coaches, coaches by name, not by deed.

With the inept oline we have in place, we definitely need to utilize our fullbacks and tight ends. That's what surprised me was all of the shotgun formations, why leave our fullbacks out?

With our OL problems, I think the proper approach is to have our full backs on the
field a lot. We need them for both run blocking and pass blocking. We pretty much
need to always run max protection in passing situations. I still like us a lot
better playing under center out of the I. It's not like the shotgun is helping
our protection, but maybe with just a little bit of running the I formation would
help us use what used to be our staple - the play action. We can't block long enough
even out of the gun, so make the DL and LB's hesitate just a second and have the
FB stay in. If the rush is there, have the FB release and dump the ball right over
the charging defense to try and help keep them honest. We could also consider
swinging the ball out wide to our tailbacks on flair passes. Get IC the ball on the
outside and that would help negate our OL problems. What about the screen pass?

Did we run one single pass to a FB, a screen of any sort, or a swing pass to our tailback?

Did we do it even once? Even if it was just an attempt to keep the Boise DL a bit
honest?

God Bless and Go Dawgs
