WOW

duck, there comes a time when everyone must draw a line in the sand. I have a couple of times in the past few years and have not totally lived up to that line. No more. There is a thing that I was taught as a young sprout, and it went something like this. There is a time to turn your cheek. There is also a time when one would be best served not to turn that cheek.

UGA football in my opinion quit in the second half of the Boise State football game. I don't think that there was fear, they had simply had their butts whipped. It was not the fault of the players, if they had done their work, it was the fault of the coaching staff because they had not done the proper work. Why were we gassed and Boise State was not? Training or coaching? Tell me.

This coaching staff at UGA is living a lie. What have they proven in college football in the past five years or so. Is it because we don't have talent? If we listen to those that are supposed to be professionals at this game, the word is that UGA is loaded with talent.

Need some of the Richt/Bobo/Grantham supporters to tell this board what needs to be done. The message can be passed on to Sir Richt, not sure he will respond. One must remember that Sir Richt thinks that most of us are "sheeples" we follow along in a line and do what the leader asks. If he (not UGA) loses to South Carolina, how many of the Richt supporters will break out the crying towel? Excuses are over, talent resides in Athens . . . . . explain to me and others where are the coaches.

Started to respond earlier and did not get sucked in just as you sadler. Will say this and be done with this thread... It came to me earlier what my problem is, plain and simple I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of the lack of results at UGA. If recruits don't commit then it is the coaches fault, not the fans. If the team stinks it up, misses tackles, drops passes, gets their qb killed its the coaches fault. When you're in charge everything is your fault. Simple principle of leadership. When what you have been doing isn't working, you do something different. When you run out of answers you step aside and let the next guy have a go. Think MR is at that last step. Anyone has the right to defend their beliefs. It's our God given right as an American. Just don't fall into the pattern of questioning others loyalty for calling it as they see it.

If this team beats SC, then good. One win does not make it a trend. Give me good consistent results every week, win some big ball games and then we'll talk about if you are the one I foresee leading us to championships going forward. As for now the burden is on CMR to change my thought process. Just win baby, or go do what you do somewhere else.

But the issue is that it ISN'T one game, it's 30 plus games where we've been subjected to the same garbage and we're tired. When was the last decent win against a quality team? It may be that BSU is the best team in the nation, but we still want to play respectably and we didn't for the most part. I'm tired of getting worn out by ranked teams. I'm tired of squeaking by wins by the skin of our teeth against lesser teams. I'm tired of squandered chances by teams so full of talent that there should be blowouts every third week. Why is it the same thing, year after year? How long do we suffer? No, it's not just one game. And a win next week won't change the sentiment voiced here, either.

"The freedom of individuals to verbally to oppose or to challenge police actions without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state."

We've turned into the team that loses to Central Florida in a bowl game.

I bought into the new off season conditioning, and the "added focus" playing a top 5 team would bring to summer preparation. Just like the year before I was convinced it was the new defensive coaches that would make the difference. The year before that it was all the injuries....

We had a smaller d line control the line of scrimmage against us, an SEC team! Why? Coaching? Personnel?

Do we not know how to evaluate O line talent, recruit O line talent, or do we not know how to coach them?

Why do we throw deep on 1st down, then run up the middle on 2nd down?

Why do we go for it on 4th down without knowing how to block on the play we called? Why do we not have a 4th and short play that we know where everybody needs to be and who to block?!?!
