Wartdawg, maybe that was the answer and our coaches did not pick up on it. Maybe our offense should have been prepared to play like the Boise State offense. Supposedly the top tight ends in the country reside in Athens.

I think the problem with our tight ends is that they are too talented for this
bush league coaching staff.

Hear me out on this one.. I know there is no such thing as being too talented, but
it's like this coaching staff sees that talent and decides they are so good that
they can all be wide receivers. The problem with that is that instead of having
them do what tight ends are supposed to do, they have them running go patterns
down the field all the time. They certainly are doing nothing to help the O-line
block. They certainly are not running shorter patterns to give their QB a
safety valve. They certainly can't do much off of play action when you have no
threat of runs up the gut, and you play out of the shotgun 85% of the time anyway.
