Great conversation piece. for me, it's not so cut and dry. Why?
1. My initial instinct is a loss to UF is automatic in that I want him fired.
However, then I ask myself: What IF we lose to UF, yet go 11-1, and lose to LSU in SEC Title game 27-20. Then win a bowl game: 12-2.
Under that deal, I would say keep him.
Thoughts?
As for me, I say the worst record he can have that will make me happy is 9-3, and a quality bowl.
Winning all the games and still losing to UF is worse than losing a few more. I would likely need to be restrained, confined and medicated if we won every game but still lost to UF. The team stays about a mile from my house.

Every year I think this is the year.
I am trying to steer an even keel and be more realistic.
After the last couple of years, a three loss season would be a major improvement.
How we have fallen so low has got to be the failure of the coaches.
We have always had the talent.
averagedawg, as much as I would hate to lose to Muschamp . . . . if UT wins, I don't give a damn what we do the rest of the year. Appears to me reading all of the blogs outside of this one, most have given up in JAX. Never trusted VD, and now we have his son in Knoxville.

I was beside myself of course, but that period on my life was also consumed with chasing 21 to 25 year old women so I had a form of therapy to get me by. Now that I am married it has been explained to me that behavior like I previously exhibited is frowned upon.

Yeah.......that's been explained to me SEVERAL times.......for no apparent reason either.
But it does explain how you "struggled" to get through that 2002 season.
