Good Morning All,

As many here have noted material is running low to write and comment about.

Tuesday was the official start of summer but this year it feels like we have had 3 months worth already. This is a practice weekend for the upcoming long holiday. Will be running brew & brat tests Saturday night. Looking to get a few extra BTU out of the grill and lower cooking times. Have put in a set of bored burners from Big Daddy’s Grill and Smoke Shop - Pomona Calif.

There has been some feedback that IC and CJT have had words, nothing more than Father Joe expressing his displeasure with IC not being in SEC football shape. This has been addressed and IC is on board with the program that CJT has laid out. So the journey begins for IC and our other young pups.

From a physical standpoint Big John is the real deal. I would rather try to block a house than line up against him. JJ and KW will take up a city block in the middle of our “D” line. I see why CTG wanted this guy.

Ben Jones is not a happy camper (insert the word “pissed” here) after hearing all last season that the “O” line was one of the best in the country. Failing to meet that lofty position he wants to reclaim some respect. Ben knows there is only one way to make that happen and it is on the field. I think this group will come together and will do a respectable job. Ben showed us in the spring game that he won’t put up with anyone goofing off. I am hearing good words coming off campus about CWF.

A huge plus is they get to practice against CTG defense. Ben has the 11th of November marked on his calendar when Auburn is in town no question that BJ and company will be ready.

Next weekend is the 4th and then it will be a sprint to Labor Day and curtain time in Atlanta.

We get to Atlanta healthy and can leave without any major injuries come Sept. 17th we will be 2-0. I like our team and with the rest of the east down, if we can take care of business we can put a lap on the field for this season and the near future.

CJT will not let this group return to being underachievers with empty tanks in the fourth quarter. At any other school he would be just an S&C coach, at UGA he gets to do his job with a passion and love for the Red & Black. He has watched hours of tape of these players and knows them very well.

Again it is no small benefit CJT is able to relate to winning UGA football and pass this on to our current team.

AQWIA……. Plenty of noise coming Sept. 3rd

Love it !

Pause and give thanks……

Have a great weekend and a safe week. As always “Go Dawgs”

Thanks again yankeedawg1. Really hope to see some "attitude" from this team. I am with Ben Jones on looking forward to Abuurn coming to Athens. Pay backs are hell. You have a great day and weekend, keep those eyes and ears open, really like to hear those bits and pieces coming out of Athens. :)

yd1......thanks for the "positive" post.....gotta keep upbeat and positive.....negative never won anything.

Won't be long now before they tee it up. Blood moving a little faster thinking about it.Btw, I'm too tired at the end of the week to figure out what AQWIA means......probably could figure it out but I'll take the "leveraged", easy way and just ask you. ;)

Have a cool one for me this weekend and one day when I'm up there we'll have one together to celebrate a victory.

yd1...Thanks for the info.

1. Yes, 11/11 is marked on my calender. Maybe Big John can do a Toombstone dance on AU's QB's chest this year, a little payback? While he's at it, if he happens to stumble into Gene S**tzick on the way back to the huddle, I won't spill my beer over it.

2. What, 70 days to go?? I started my summer two a days getting ready for the season. CJT has me on track to drop 20 by labor day. My doctor says I should be ready to plod through a couple last minutes wins, and some 10pm late night WAC/MWC games before I need to go to sleep.:)

3. Interesting observation about the lack of police blotter activity. A nice change. Maybe CJT, Christian Robinson, CTG, etc have laid the hammer down.

4. Anything LESS than an SEC East title is unacceptable.
