"Awesome," Richt says. "You're going to be the biggest nose guard in America with a single digit." The room laughs. Richt later explains that during recruiting, Jenkins had one demand: He wanted to wear No. 6.
" 'You weigh about 350 pounds!' " Richt recalls telling him. "'The number is going to be about this big,' " Richt says, forming a small square in the middle of his chest. "So when you see this big nose guard wearing No. 6 against Boise State (Georgia's opener), you'll know."
